I'm not opposed to getting this kid. However, on the heels of this year, don't you think their is a little urgency to also get someone who is going to contribute from day 1. I wonder if the coaches feel he can do that.
 
I'm guessing more than just three scholarships will be available (maybe as many as 5-6 depending on what Tiny/TMG do) this spring and Neal is not going to be counted on as a major contributor as a freshman.

You bring in 3-4 guys who you think can contribute, and then you add a kid like Neal who's got some game/upside, is a great kid, etc. as a glue guy.

Agreed. I think he could be a surprise being the type of kid who gets in a major strength and conditioning program and works his butt off but odds are he is a year or two from making a major contribution.
