Why do you guys think he is shooting so poorly this season? He is shooting 16.7% form the field and 17.6% from 3 point range. His percentages as a freshman and sophomore were significantly higher.

I think he and Kornet on the girls team must have gotten together, they are shooting about the same percentage.

b/c he isn't a good shooter. He has never shot well here. there were a few games when he was on but he has never been a good shooter.

Also, you must have missed the previous thread with this same title

He shot 33.8% from 3 point range last year. That is respectable if not good. He was 28.2% as a freshman and 42.7% from the field as a freshman. I would normally expect slight improvement as opposed to his numbers falling off the chart like they have this year. The guy is shooting 16% on the season and 17% from 3. He is almost 50% below his 3 point shooting from last season and his overall shooting is way below his freshman season.

I guess I am just an optimist but I was hoping he could shoot 35% from 3 point range this season with a reasonable number of attempts. My thought was with his size and the additional offesnive out put from M'Baye and freshmen he would naturally get some good looks and knock down his shots.

I look forward to a day when OU has 3 legitimate 3 point shooters on the floor (not counting a PF or C that can step out and occassionally take that shot). Hopefully OU will have that next season with Woodard, Hornbeak and Hield.

Ya. give me a team full of heslips and that white kid at ksu. and ill go out and play anyone.. we need some guards that can just straight up shoot the ball!

It goes without saying that Tyler has had a very rough year. Hopefully he can go off at least 1 game and contribute some unexpected points to help win a game for us. Fingers crossed.

Yep. If that isn't the most important basketball skill to have, it's certainly in the top 2.

In conference play during his first 2 seasons, Neal has shot 35% and 33% overall and 23% and 24% from 3.
