U16 USA Trials

good question.. if it is due to age, then I would guess she's older then the allowed age, and maybe she could look in to coming to college a year early, with the 2016 class vs 2017

USA basketball is really political. Now that Llanusa is an EYBL team I will expect her to get an invite next year. Same reason Why Wilson was not invited this and previous years. All about who ya know and who you play for.

Couldn't agree more. Very political from the younger teams standpoint. I could name a handful that shouldn't be on that list and a handful that should and Llanusa is one of them. It seems like the only Ok player to get a invite in previous years was Dungee and she indeed play on a Nike team. I expect Llanusa and Johnson to get some invites seeing how they play on Nike teams now.

You can still attend and tryout if you are not invited, I believe you just have to pay for own expenses.

I would say this is true for all USA and Olympic teams, though some more than others. Who you know, who the coaches are, who is already a lock for the team. I mean it isn't an exact science when you have people involved. Now the younger teams may be even more so because of sponsors of teams which they have played on, I really know nothing about that.
