I love how they try and pull things out of that game that they did better then us. Or that what happened back then isn't how they play now...but then they say they shut down buddy...but I thought that's not the same team...

Literally cracks me up they (and their fans) act like that Villanova has improved tenfold but OU has stayed the same or maybe even regressed.

Also cracks me up they act like they are just shooting lights out in the tourney (and they did versus Miami NO QUESTION) but don't mention shooting 40% against KU and 22% from 3.

They also like to act like we were out played in a ton of areas in the December game but they DONT mention they were LITERALLY beaten in EVERY major category against Kansas except for turnovers as KU had 16 to their 9. KU shot 46% on the game and 27% from 3. Also out rebounded nova 32-28 and had more assists.

I'm not saying nova isn't better but come on. They are acting like they've just completely flip flopped from the time in December. I don't think this is going to be the same team that we faced in December but they shouldn't think they are facing the same team either.

Lattin has since become a dominant force swatting shots left and right. Buddy wasn't even playing CLOSE to what he is now. Not even marginally. Woodard was playing about the same as he is now which is great. Cousins is shooting about the same and maybe even better but has also became a MUCH better PG. James has become our 6th man and Bufford has given us great minutes off the bench. Even Jamuni has become less of a liability then what he was at that point.

Nova might have gotten better. But so have our Sooners. Let's go!

Can't recall any fanbase being this supremely confident of not just beating their opponent in a FF game, but doing so in totally dominating fashion.

Not sure the Sooners should even bother to show up for the game.

Did you read the comments. Oh my lanta! They are the COCKIEST fan base I've ever seen. I mean KU isn't even THAT cocky.

Personally, I try to stay away from the SB Nation stories. It's basically just stories put out by a fan with no real knowledge of a sport or other teams. Like the footballbrainiacs (which I really like for football) putting out basketball stories.
My favorite part of the write up was in the inside game section. "In fact, the Cats seemed to have a major advantage that they just didn't take advantage of: points in the paint. Villanova went 16 of 31 for 51.6% shooting inside the arc in that first meeting, while Oklahoma shot just 14 of 34 for 41.2%."
Wow! So you're telling me Villanova hit two more shots on three less attempts.
Son of a gun, how did OU not get pummeled. That's a huge discrepancy!

I don't think the Big 4 have improved very much this year. They started off strong and continued playing at a very high level, however with some mid-season slumps (Cousins, Woodard). Hield has been stellar all year. Spangler has regressed, specifically with his outside shooting. This could be due to his knee injury, but I'm not sure. His rebounding has been strong throughout the season.

The big areas of improvement are Lattin and James. Both were young to start the season, so an improvement is to be expected. Walker actually regressed and James has surpassed him in the rotation. I think AK has gotten better, most likely due to being healthy and the D1 game has slowed down for him. It's a shame that we don't have him for the FF. (but understandable). Buford has improved marginally. When his 3 is on, he's great and his FT shooting is solid. He does get manhandled down low. Would love to see him get 5-6 points in each of the last 2 games.

All in all, the Sooners were a very good team on Dec 7 and are still a very good team. They beat Nova by 23. Will Nova be 23+ points better than the Sooners on Apr 2? I doubt it.
