I couldn't help but notice that we have a new walk on on our roster this season; 6' 8" 220 Freshman forward, Reid Streller, from Edmond. Patrick Geha, 6' 5" 200 from Leawood, Kansas is also new to me, but since he's a junior he may not be a newcomer. Marshall Thorpe, a 6' 9" 235 redshirt sophomore from Tulsa Bishop Kelley is still on our roster.

Anybody out there know enough about these guys to say if they will ever see meaningful minutes at some point, or are they destined to be practice players and compete for mop up duty their entire career?

Streller's dad was a walk on or manager at OSU many years ago. A big insurance agent in Edmond who was a huge aggie fan. Hard to believe his kid would be a Sooner. I haven't seen him play but he attended OCS a small school in Edmond. He wasn't all little city or anything. He may have played tennis with Blevins kid at state.

I dont think any will ever play meaningful minutes

Reid is planning on going to OU Med school. He is a late bloomer that didnt even play much as a Jr. and worked his tail off to get better, had a good Sr. year.

I think David Godbold was the last walk-on to play meaningful minutes.

Godbold was a late scholarship player. OSU students also apply to OU med school. No more likely to get into medical school from OU or OSU.

He will be height for our team in practice..

What happened to the two underclassmen from last year?
