Warren out? for year?

Plus, Capel lets him do pretty much whatever he wants (share PG duties with our PG of the future despite the fact he's a turnover machine, wearing stocking caps and head phones during pregame warmups) and he can play another year with his "boys".

I think this is what might have changed. I wonder is Capel finally said " Team ball Willie..no more is it about you here". Have a feeling the ankle is just a cover for a mutual parting of ways.

hmm good point.

Wouldn't surprise me, but he was walking with a limp last Saturday during the Kansas State game.

Is it normal to not travel with the team when you have a sprained ankle?

(this is a rhetorical question)

That's actually an interesting question. If he really did have mono, even though he said he didn't, but the Dr's said he did. He was sick and did have something, just not sure what or who to believe. That is the only reason I could see him not traveling with the team other than the obvious because an ankle wouldn't keep him home.

No doubt it is sore and I hope for his sake it's not serious. But to not travel? It's not like Lawrence is a 10 hour trip. Seems a little odd.

Did Blake travel to Stillwater two years ago when he missed the game there we won? I want to say that he didn't, but I could be wrong.

No he didn't. If I remember correctly, he was texting Coach Capel all day long, begging to play. I got the impression that Coach made him stay home so he wouldn't be tempted to play him.

My guess is it is no longer about injuries. Capel is doing Willie a solid by not just booting him. Claim an injury that is worse then it is, or mono, or whatever, and Willie goes pro. No chance at transfering, that would be dumb. IF what I suspect is true, I'll at least give Capel credit for pulling the trigger.

My opinion is that both Tiny and TMG were/are sick of Willie, and if Willie stayed, one or both of those guys might be gone.

TU- Is this just your opinion on WW based on what you've read or what you've heard? I'm really curious because this WW thing has become bizarre.

My guess is that EVERYONE is sick of Willie. Just a guess. It sure smells funny. I agree, rather than suspending him officially, there are injuries/illnesses. I think it's the right way to go about it, if this is the story.

It doesn't make sense for him not to travel with the team with an ankle injury.

Just an opinion. I think it's an educated guess, but I have no facts. I think the fact that the guys on the board that normally know whats going on don't really know, says alot. Too many missed games, rumors, and a few things we know are fact for there not to be something to this.

It's definitely been a weird disappointing season for Warren. He went from a hopeful leader to playing with a bad attitude to not playing at all.

It is really late in the season for that decision but if it was made and that is what Capel learned this season it might be early in the Capel Era at OU.

The most important thing about this season is that everyone learn from it, including the coaches.
