Amazing.

I wish we could play like that or had a talent level three quarters as good as theirs.

2-3 dribbles and then crisp, on-target passing -- every possession. Speedy, constant passing until someone is open. In-and-out, high-low action, players moving, ball moving. Little standing around. Pin-point break away passing. Double screens. Almost no passes at shin level. Great hands. Intensity, determination, grit. No silly fouls. Few defensive breakdowns.

Coaches who don't accept failure and excuses with a pat on the back and continued starting or playing time or talking about family. Constant leadership and leading by actions from all 5 spots on the floors. No coaches who can't figure it out -- because they clearly have.

I think OU has been there in the past. I hope they get there again soon. I hope it's with Sherri because I admire her a lot and she deserves a couple of years to try to turn around this hiccup.

Just heard ND's Natalie Achonwa is done this year with a torn ACL.
That really bites … hate to see teams get to this point and then lose its best interior player and team leader.

Oh no.....She is such a good player and teammate....Wish her all the best in her recovery.

As much as I like to watch ND play basketball, I must admit that I have more sympathy for a team that loses its top two stars at the beginning of the year to ACL injuries.

As impossible as it seems, do not count out the Irish. They have a team concept as impressive as I've ever seen at any level of basketball.

They ain't dead yet.

Which team is that? A team that lose a star at this point of year get more sympathy from me.

I was impressed with her fight last night. After getting up she's screaming at her teammates to finish the game that this was "her" court. That's the kind of fight I want to see out of OU.

I liked what I saw from Maryland tonight. Ought to be a good game.

Agree. I'd have to think it would be harder to lose a vital cog late, instead of early.
If Achonwa is lost in December, Muffet's got the entire conference slate to adjust and develop another player to play that role. The team also has time to adjust and shift modes of play and leadership responsibility. Gotta be tough to get to your two (provided they survive Thomas and Maryland) biggest games of the season with the national title on the line and lose her.
