Westmoore girls 46, Ada 27: Still the No. 1 team in Class 6A, the Jaguars never ran away and hid against Class 4A Ada in tournament play Saturday in Newcastle. Nor where they ever in trouble.
A second-quarter Ada rally brought the Cougars within 28-20 at the half, but the Jags made it a 37-25 game heading into the fourth quarter.
“(This game) we learned we need to stay on our man more and just move our feet,” Landreth said. “We’ve had a problem with fouling throughout the season. With how good of shooters they have, we just need to keep on them.”
Westmoore (14-1): Jessi Mercer 16, Ashley Gomez 13, Sidney Chasten 6, Casey Richardson 6, Whitney Outon 5,
Ada: Dean 12, Jissepee 10, Weeks 5, Taylor 4, Simmons 4, Thompson 2
