I haven't seen him post in quite some time. Did he switch usernames?

transferred back home to Oakland University in Michigan... talk to him almost daily, still supports OU, just decided to stop posting on this board

Transfering from OU to Oakland is a major change. Oakland is a commuter school. Personally, I don't think a school like that would be much fun. I would think Michigan State, Michigan (really hard to get accepted), Central Michigan or any number of other schools in Michigan would be much more fun than Oakland.

At least he gets to stick with the "OU" mantra...

I don't understand the decision to stop posting.

The decision to transfer was purely a money-saving one on my part. I switched majors, and my new major has essentially the same program at OU and Oakland. I did enjoy my two years in Oklahoma, still keep in touch with ksSooner and the rest of the Top Daugs leadership, and I wouldn't be surprised if I ended up working in OKC or Dallas someday.

That being said, the Top Daugs will be better off without me. As everyone who ever read my rants on Twitter knew, I just don't have the optimistic/outgoing personality necessary to be a good student section leader. I'll still provide ksSooner with the occasional idea (I'm taking credit if there's ever a #NotImpressed McKayla Maroney cardboard head in the student section) over Facebook, but I'm quite relieved to no longer have any sort of active leadership role.

I do expect you guys to make the tourney this year, and with Murphy's Law and all, you'll probably end up in the Detroit subregional.

As ksSooner can attest, the lifestyle I lived at OU was no different than that of most commuter students. Besides going to a few parties and making LOLOLOL-worthy attempts to pick up chicks, I basically just studied, watched sports, and watched movies. I did make some good friends at OU, and I am disappointed to leave them, but fortunately social media has made it easy to keep in touch and reconnect if I ever end up living in the same area as them again.

I hope you didn't take my comments as an insult. I grew up in Bloomfield Township and know a little (very little) about Oakland. I just had so much fun at OU that I can't really imagine college at a commuter school.

Good luck and if you want to come back to this part of the country, I hope you are able to find a job.

Thanks for the work you did while you were here!!! You guys ROCK!!!! And, as Bounce said, you are STILL and FOREVER one of us!!!

Good luck in your educational pursuits. Nothing wrong with a tame/study first college experience. I hope my daughter follows that route in a few yrs herself. :D Stop by sometimes and chime in on the LK Era.
