Big 64-thousand-dollar question coming for Sherri...

What does she do with Lluanusa and the line-up when Ana is healthy?

Who do you bench?

We'll probably have 4 or 5 more games under our belt by then.

Do you upset the chemistry you've built in her absence?

If you bench one of the starters who is it?

Pellington? Robertson? I don't think so.

Williams -- no.

That's going to be a heck of decision.

Shay, Taylor, Ana, Madi, Mandy

That should be our starting 5, Tutum and Jessi would be 1st 2 off the bench.

Shay, Ana, and Madi who has not only worked on her free throws, but also went down on her turn overs, can all handle the ball giving Taylor plenty of open looks...

When Ana is back and really ready to go hard I would go with Ana getting a chunk of Mandy’s time.

Norman and I had the same idea last night and this morning.

1. Jessi
2. Pellington
3. Ana
4. Robertson
5. Williams

You give up bulk but not height with Williams at the 5. You gain speed and the ability to shoot and score from anywhere on the floor.

You can go to high post sets in the motion offense with Williams and let her drive from the top of the key against the opponent's bigs. She's going to get fouled like crazy. She can certainly hit the mid range or the 3.

She has the ability to draw the other team's big out from under the basket, allowing Robertson and Pellington to hit the boards or our guards to drive the lane.

Would also also allow Sherri to speed us up as she wanted to do early.

Downsize is we will get hurt on the boards, but Williams' quick hands may negate that concern somewhat with potential steals and being able to get set more quickly, thereby drawing fouls.

I'd like to see what that line-up could do these last few games before conference.

What would it hurt?

I get the impression that Sherri is trying to work Nydia into the rotation. She seems to have improved considerably. Although only getting only two minutes against DePaul, a game in which we wanted our best on the floor, Nydia did get ten minutes against Central Arkansas. She has the moves if she would just: 1) finish, 2 hit at least half her free throws.

With Jessi, Shaina, and Taylor, we need a bit more height. They are all 5-7. Not highly competitive under the boards against DePaul. Ana, Mandy, and Madi would help on interior defense and on the boards, until a Nydia-type develops.

I also like Jessi off the bench with her energy. I think Tatum is the better organizer/distributor, although not as effective at scoring. Jessi can score.

With Ana, Madi, Shaina, and Taylor on the floor, we have enough scoring and perimeter defense. It helps cover Mandy.

If we are more of an 80% free throw shooting team than a 50%, we can benefit more from the running game. We have about 80 more free throws than our opposition in 9 games, about nine per game.

The addition of Ana cuts down on the fatigue factor a bit.

Mandy hustled down the court to slow down DePauls fast breaks. Madi was a bit slow, often because she was inside shooting and looking for offensive rebounds. If some big doesn't consistently get back on defense, we give up a lot of easy baskets. DePaul still got a lot of quick and easy baskets, but it might be worse if we don't really work at transition defense

I think Mandy is doing the best that she can with her god-given ability but it's just not good enough for us to win games at division one level and Big 12 Play. She needs Lampkin to step up massively because she's got the potential and I see some moves that just need the confidence to turn into field goals. If Lampkin turns into another EJ that is always promising but never develops then she's got to think fast about getting reinforcements for next year. I don't think Bloom is enough, I think we need one more productive big.

Like I said before, I do not believe all six of the freshmen will stay into next season I believe at least one will transfer.

Bloom is very thin and will need to add muscle to have a big impact next year... she will definitely stand out on the bench tho once she makes it to campus, should also help her get started on weights early...

I still think Scott will be our starting next year, she’s listed at 6’2 only Texas will have a lot of size next year, and Baylor will be avg height once Cox is gone.

I've watched a few games...I'm usually a big fan of Coale...I can enjoy the women's game (coached HS/Jr high and my sis played ar KSU)...

but what has happened lately? I know we were (are) down on numbers, the fact we have 6 Fr playing.

Anyone think the ship can be righted this season? Doesn't look promising from the game or 2 I've seen.

I think this season will break OU's 19 consecutive NCAA tourney birth streak, unfortunately...just paying for lazy recruiting in the past and losing our entire '16 class to transfer. Nobody to blame but SC and her lazy staff. The kids are certainly playing their hearts out. I'll be surprised if we win 15 games this year. Sad times indeed.

What's crazy is if you can get into that top 15/10 group...and stay there, recruiting is "easier"...kids want to play for winners.

Being a "blue-blood" in women's basketball is a limited group but when you get there (we were at 1 time) it's got to be "easier"...think OU fball vs ku football...or even men's bball..ku vs ou.

SC had a time when she could go into top recruits houses...not sure if she still can (unless regional).

I'd love to coach bball for 500K a year...I'd work 24/7.

Would you work harder for $1.1 mil. Sherri doesn't. She was once one of the top 5-8 programs in the country but failed to take advantage of her window of opportunity now we are a top 1-25 program at best. She has a very steep hill to climb now to get back to being a top 5-8 program.
