I know what ifs are a waste of time but what if

Hornbeak had not transferred and

Thomas had had to wait until this year to play

Hornbeak would come off the bench so we wouldn't need Walker but I think James has much more potential than Hornbeak. Jelon would have logged more minutes in the meat of the season because he was good enough to play a lot giving the other 3 guys (Buddy, Cousins, Woodard) more rest time and probably allowed us to play more 4 guard offense and take Lattin off the floor late in games.

Tashawn would have helped with inside scoring no doubt but I think we are a better team defensively with Lattin. We don't really need scorers though a few games we needed someone who could score inside, but we need defenders. Ask any coach and they will tell you Lattin is the X factor and his role around the rim is huge.

Thomas would have helped us a lot. Hornbeak would still be coming off of the bench, which is why he left in the first place.

I would love to have had Thomas this year but we really needed him last year. We might not have gone as far this year if we did not have him last year. He helped sow some seeds. We will also be a better team next year because of it.

Things have a way of working themselves out. If we win or lose in the FF it will be because of what happens on the court in the games we play. We are as good as anyone else.
