Whatever happened to Keith Clark?

I grew up watching their uncle Jack play for the STL Cardinals.

Whichever one of their relatives invented the Clark bar, I gotta shake that man's hand.

In all seriousness, I think Keith Clark's departure from the program may have had a larger impact that we think. He would've paired with Blake in the frontcourt of that '08's tourney lineup team or been the first big off the bench. He was athletic and had touch out to 18 feet. He and Longar were a two-man wrecking crew in that game vs. Gonzaga that we won in December that really set things in motion for the squad.

If we had had Moose to play on Hansbrough in the Elite Eight, maybe Blake doesn't get in fould trouble so early and we have a fighting chance at a Final Four. I don't think that would have stopped Capel from bringing in Tiny and TMG, but at least we would have had some developmental depth. And then we could've kept Nick Thompson off the roster.

I don't think Keith Clark could have saved Jeff Capel's job. But him sticking around remains, along with "what if Hash Thabeet had committed in the late period the year before Blake arrived?", one of the most interesting hypotheticals of the Capel era.

We now return to your regularly-scheduled awesome reality of having Lon Kruger coach and build the program.

Moose is the cousin of Stevie...

Always liked Keith. Keith never liked school much...
