Looking at the boxscore. We didn't have a single guy make more than 3 baskets against the Zags. We go outrebounded 45-22! They got 23 more rebounds than us! Let that sink in for a minute. We shot 16-50! We made 16 shots in the entire game! They were 27-59. We also had 14 turnovers and only 6 assists. Which is not surprising considering our take 2 dribbles, pass, pass, take 2 dribbles, shoot offense.

I can't imagine a team playing worse on offense than we did tonight. We missed a TON of open jumpshots in the first half which may have had a snowball effect. In my opinion we need to get a better 5 on the floor that will have a little chemistry and play tough. We looked like a freshman team in high school going up against the varsity.

The offense has been very poor during half of the ULM game (first 10 min and last 8), the start and finish of the UTA game, the second half of UTEP, and all of tonight. Not good.

What is strange is that Pledger doesn't seem to be featured in many sets. He should shoot the majority of the halfcourt set shots.

Exactly, why don't we have Pledger moving without the ball and running some plays for him? He just seems to be standing around on the perimeter. If he got a shot tonight it was because he made a move and beat his man, or shot over him.

So far I see last year all over again - a lot of hesitation and need for more offensive toughness. Not panicking after one loss but hoping for some improvement.

He just stands in the corner after going off a screen by one of the posts.

Take my opinion with a grain of salt since I haven't seen a complete game yet from start to finish, but I'm not sure if we should have Hornbeak or Cousins (mainly Cousins) running the point at this time. Offense just seems more out of sync with them, and that's not too surprising since they're freshman early on in the season. I think we look more cohesive with Grooms running the point. At the very least, he looks much more confident. The other two might be over thinking by trying to do the right thing too much and not playing instinctually. Just my 2 cents from what I've seen so far this season.

Yeah, I've noticed that too. A lot more standing around on the outside for catch and shoot stuff. Guess that's what Kruger has in mind. If it wasn't, I imagine he would've been pulled by now for not moving. Think he's got a lot more to his game than just being a catch and shoot guy. His post game isn't too shabby for a 6'4 guard and I like when he's running around the court and getting through screens to get him open.
