Personally I think that it will be Washington IF his ability to defend, rebound and get garbage buckets translates to D-1 from JUCO. Sounds like he could be a player that is similar to Marshall Moses (not "great" but serviceable, and always a risk for a double-double).

That said, I hope that it is Cam. He looks to be about the best chance we have for athletic mismatches next season. If he can average about 12-14 points, 6-8 boards and 2-4 assists I'll be fired up. He should get plenty of opportunities to be a stand-out freshman in the B12.

whoever the starting point guard is... if he's good, we should be decent... if he's not, we will be horrible..

I agree. The biggest impact will be whoever is playing the PG position.

To give an educated guess, I think you first have to ask the question: What system or style of play will Capel employ? Will he change his scheme to match the change in personnel? Seems to me if we run the same offensive and defensive sets as in previous seasons with this new group of talent, there might be a different newcomer make the biggest impact than who would if Capel implemented a more up-tempo style of play to take advantage of the predicted smaller lineup.

Based on the first four years of his tenure Capel either has 4 entirely different offenses or he doesn't have any kind of discernable system.

I guess if I say Sam Francisco no one will get the joke.

sigh

genius lost

I was thinking the same thing...would hope that if we are at a talent disadvantage, we are all about defense.

Given the state of last year's team and lack of proven returning players I think it is impossible to single out ONE player.I think CJ,Cam,TJ,Blair are all likely to start and have a big impact.
