I was watching Channel 9 news in OKC the night before last and the sports announcer talked about Whitney playing her last game in Lloyd Noble unless she applies for I believe he said a Medical 6th year. I know we have had some football players apply and get a 6th year (Jason White 1999-2004 and Jay Smith 1994-1999 are a couple I can think of), but not sure if Whitney can or has even thought about it. Anyone heard anything?

Whitney and Landry Jones just married this past summer and he is graduating this year as well. He will be playing in the NFL somewhere next year and as much as Whitney loves basketball, I'd be shocked if she wasn't ready to move on to the next chapter in her life.

It is possible that she could get that sixth year. I think the only way that happens if she is getting her masters and needs another semester to finish. However I agree that with Landry moving on, there really is no reason for her to continue. Selfishly, I would love to have her back one more year, but that is slim and none, and slim just left town.

Selfishly I would live to have her back four more years (think big!)

Unless she has some sort of unmet academic goals, I think she'll move on to the next phase of her life.

Colton Coale commented that her returning yet again would be unlikely, as her body has taken about as much abuse as it can stand.

On Twitter, Whitney said "thanks for the best 5 years of my life." I'm pretty sure that means she's done. I don't blame her, and personally, I'd like to see the team move on and grow without her on the court. She deserves a break.
