Who are the best Juco guards available?

Go to work, abd.

Well, I thought OU could have used Tyrus Mcgee, but Iowa State recruited him early and got him. He was an Oklahoma kid too.

There is a 6'5'' 215 guard from Blinn CC in Texas, Dylan Talley. He is supposed to be good. Putting up good numbers this year too. I havent seem him play, just heard his name and looked him up, he is the #25 juco per rivals.

I think we need to start having guys from the program step up. Capel's never really shown to recruit good JUCO players. Juan Patillo is the best he got and he left after a year. Kelvin had on big advantage in finding JUCO players all over. Taj Gray, Terrell Everett, Ace McGee, Corey Brewer, Johnson, Edrmann, Abercrombie. The list goes on and on.

I sure hope that TJ Taylor gets back to speed from his concussion and plays THIS year. Screw the redshirt. Get that man on the floor. He has a chance to be a really good defender.

I'm with you. I was stunned when I heard they were talking about redshirting him. I don't want him rushed back -- they should, by all means, make sure he's fully recovered. But should a concussion take four months to overcome? (If so, then of course T.J. should take no chances and redshirt.)

The impact makers are gone on the Juco and Prep level for the most part. Nurideen Lindsey, the juco guard from Redlands is really the only difference maker on the juco level. The Guerrero kid is just a floor manager. Don't know much about the Elijah Carter kid. He does lead Brewster Prep in scoring this year averaging around 20. If your wanting a juco guard from the scoring aspect, then you might should settle for Osby who is going to provide the scoring. What we really need is someone that can create his own shot and drive to the basket at a high clip.

This is just me spit-balling, sky. But I really think they told him that to ease the pressure off of him. I bet he plays as soon as he stops having symptoms....

He has a chance to really find a niche on this club. Two of the three guard spots are wide open right now.

I'm curious about Osby, how much do you guys expect out of him? He averaged about 4.5 points a game in about 13 minutes both years at Miss. State, which converted to 30 minutes a game (starter minutes) is about 10 points a game.

Has he really been impressive in his redshirt year? Looks like has the body type to be a Matt Pilgrim guy, a skilled high level finisher. But, I'm just wondering what your expectations for the guy are.

Capel has called him the best player on our roster right now earlier this year I'll leave it at that.

He needs to have a huge impact.

More importantly in my opinion is what the experience this year will mean for next season. I am convinced Capel gets another year; however, if OU misses the NCAA Tournament next year, I think Capel has to go and that is going to further hurt this basketball program.

14 and 8. Go to guy. Who else is more talented?

That Miss St. team Osby was on had a lot of talent and he was not put in a position to be very successful from what I understand. Miss St. wanted him to be a back to the basket player and that is not his game. He should step in and make an impact from day one. He will have Nicks starting spot next season.

They had Varnardo and Kodi Augustus, two really good players. Then you have Renaldo Sidney and John Riek, two guys who were sat one time rated the top players in the nation. Add to that they get Arnett Moutrie of Utep to transfer in.
