ESPN is playing up OU's loss to Stanford. What is it with their insane hatred of the OU program?

Are they supposed to stop airing cause we're down? I think it is just our region. I have a friend in NC and they are airing the UNC- Ohio State game.

I saw the last 1:40 of our game. Saw Maryland most of the night and then UNC once that one was over.

I watched it until there were two minutes left. Channel 723 on directv.

That is extremely easy to answer. First I don't think they hate us or our coaches or our players. But it is a business.

Joe C. decided to go with Fox for the next many, many years instead of ESPN. They are competitors. ESPN gets hurt as a business if they support us - a tool of their only real competition.

Notice they covered Texas (who signed with ESPN) very strongly this year - and may have worked behind the scenes to get them a higher seed than they actually earned.

Unless Fox gets serious about covering basketball we are in huge trouble since ESPN has almost 100% of the coverage of women's basketball. It is 100% the responsibility of Joe C. to find a solution to that. But NO ONE likes to take responsibility for the decisions they make. - so don't hold your breath.

This is not the only issue he is creating. If you have football tickets, just wait until they force you to move from your seats on the sideline to seats in the corners of the end zone. It is coming for many fans.

Why will people have to move?

I've never really understood the seeding process, but this ^ doesn't make sense to me. Texas had a tougher pre-season schedule,, hence the (most likely) the votes. Plus they beat us twice, along with some very high ranked teams early in season. (they had a crap season for mid way of Big12 but proved they can fight back) Makes me nauseous to say it but they moved on to Sweet 16, we didn't......I think they earned it. WE SHOULD BE THERE!!!! CRAP! FORGIVE ME I'M STILL PISSED!!!!

Plus, they are replaying the UNC vs. OS game, they're not singling us out.

Think about it on the most obvious level. They are adding thousands of seats in the South end zone. But the capacity is not changing. It doesn't take a rocket scientist (maybe I am one?) to realize that some people with current seats are moving into those. Otherwise you would be adding capacity.

Here is the situation. They are being required to increase seat widths in many sections from 14 inches to 18 inches. That means every 3.5 seats, one seat is lost in those sections. In addition they are being required to widen many of the stairways in the stadium. Again that means a loss of seats.

I don't know anything about football tickets, stadium expansion, seat widths, etc.

"Required" by whom?

Actually there is no requirement. The widening of the seats and aisles is part of an administration plan to enhance fan enjoyment of the football facility. The administration identifies that fans are beginning to see watching at home in front of a large HD TV is becoming a better option and the fan focused enhancements are an attempt to stymie any negative impact on ticket sales.

The primary focus on the upgrades is for the players like new locker rooms, s & c room, nutrition center, training room, meeting rooms and new coaches offices.

For the fans in addition to bigger seats and wider isles there will be more restrooms, more concession stands and an expanded concourse. There will be two open air fan plazas, fan suites, box seats and club seats.

Joe C told me part of it was due to building codes and other regulations.
