Will Jabari Parker and Giannis Antetokounmpo going to play SG-SF together?

Saw a report today that Giannis, still just 18, is 6'11'' now and he was 6'9'' when they drafted him. He played point guard in Greece and the Bucks seem to think he can play 3 positions in the NBA.

Now they draft 6'8'' 240 Jabari Parker out of Duke, who coach K thinks will be a 20+ppg player in the league, and I agree.

The Bucks may have the "longest" team in the league now.

PG: Brandon Knight (6'7'' wingspan)
SG: Jabari Parker (6'11'' wingspan)
SF: Giannis Antetokuounmpo (7'4'' wingspan)
PF: John Henson (7'5'' wingspan)
C: Larry Sanders (7'5'' wingspan)

Not sure what all that translates to on the court, but they will have an interesting team on the floor next year.

I love the potential of antetoksjajdmejej

Parker is not a 2. Certainly cannot defend it. He is the definition of an NBA 3, IMO.

I see a lot of Paul Pierce in Parker. Especially at the offensive end.

Agreed, and he can be THAT good. And I don't say that lightly, Pierce is a Hall of Famer.

Parker is the best prospect out of Chicago since Rose, and he was a better player at the same age, just not the freak athleticism Rose has/had.

I understand taking Wiggins at 1, but I wouldn't have.

So how do they get Giannis and Parker on the court at the same time? Just play small with Alphabet and Parker at forward spots?

They will regret not taking Parker #1.

I'm not sure. Maybe they don't. But I read that Giannis played better at the SG spot last year, so maybe that is the answer. His "growth spurt", though, is making that difficult. Or like you said, maybe to play them both they go small.

Interesting problem to have, I suppose.

Yea, if he can be a 6'11'' shooting guard I guess that is fine. He came over as a point guard at 6'9'' but he keeps growing. The article said his growth plate is still open and could end up over 7 feet tall. I can't imagine him being able to play shooting guard at 7'0'' or even his current 6'11'', but he is a very unique player so who knows?

Either way, they have a very solid young foundation. Henson, Knight, Alphabet, and Parker are all very young.

Parker is a stretch 4 tweener with defensive liabilities. Which is OK with the Bucks because he compliments Henson, Sanders & Antetokounmpo.

The Bucks new owner is a hedge fund stud. Marc Lasry is the founder of Avenue Capital which is the $10 billion firm Chelsea Clinton worked for a while. So he's a well connected big dog.

The Bucks have a lot of overpaid garbage on their roster (OJ Mayo) so their outlook is still poor for a couple years minimum. I don't see much upside with Parker but we'll see.

A working class hedge fund hero is something to be

Sounds like Lasry & Kidd are buddies and J-Kidd is joining the front office to run basketball operations.

A guy like Lasry with connections to democratic presidents and power brokers gives the Bucks a fighting chance.

Interested to see what happens when KD and Westbrook come up for free agency. Doubtful the hateful discriminatory far right ideology of Oklahoma has escaped their attention. I saw recently where Durant mentioned the "Mr. Unreliable" headline again negatively.

Durant also mentioned how pissed the players were about Sterling. And how the OKC media didn't even cover the story. Take it for what it's worth. But all the DF clowns babbling nonsense about Sterlings freedom of speech and the OKC media ignoring the story likely raised their eyebrows too.

LOL more nonsense. The OKC media didn't cover it? Are you kidding me? We were playing the team that this happened to in the playoffs. THey couldn't stop talking about it.

Just please stop pulling stuff out of your @$$ and post links to the crap you spew

Bounce,

Why are you so hostile?

"Durant says he wasn't asked about the incident by Oklahoma City-area media in the days after Sterling's comments had gone viral. And in the aftermath of a damning "Mr. Unreliable" headline in the hometown paper after a painful playoff loss, his media sessions were particularly closely monitored and limited by Thunder PR staff."

Sterling was ban during the Golden State series well before the OKC series started. The consensus opinion of bounce and other dopes, including Berry Tramel, it was none of the NBA's business what Sterling said. Durant and every other credible person thinks otherwise.

So ABD, Jason Kidd taking over. New billionaire movers and shakers as owners. Jabari Parker. Alphabet. You getting the Bucks NBA league pass next season?

Exactly what I thought your response would be....nothing

I will definitely be following the Bucks this year. They are super young, but I see some legit talent on roster.

just tired of boca's obvious trolling and trashing of the state of Oklahoma.

That and I despise liars

lol @ this from Gasol.

"During Gasol's meeting with Brooks, according to a league source, the 13-year veteran peppered Brooks with questions about the quality of life in Oklahoma City and wondered aloud about leaving a culturally diverse city like Los Angeles for middle America."

When Oklahomans make an ass of of themselves people notice and sadly it's become a regular occurrence.
