Andrew was honorable mention last season. His scoring and rebounding are both up this year. I als think his defense is btter. The other thing to consider is that KU had the Morris Twins and Texas had a really good forward that went pro.

In conference play Osby is 14th in scoring and 4th in rebounding. He is second in offensive rebounding.

I think both of these guys have a legitimate shot to get All Big XII honors even if it is just honorable mention.

Next season OU adds M'Baye who is probably just as good as these two guys. That is going to be a really good front court.

Wouldn't surprise me if one of them makes 3rd team. The other will be honorable mention. Pledger is also on the 3rd team/honorable mention edge

If you assume two post players on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams, both Osby and Fitzgerald have a good shot at more than honorable mention.

Players who will likely get consideration: Robinson, Ratliffe, Jones, Fitzgerald, White, Miller, Acy, Tolbert, Osby and Samuels (the top 10 scoring post players, in order). You could probably throw another player or two in there, especially when you're getting down to honorable mention (Whitey will probably get consideration simply because he plays at kansas and is big).

IMO Robinson and Ratliffe have the first team spots locked up already. I'd probably go Jones and White second team. Miller is really more of a small forward, so Osby and Fitzgerald may not even be in competition with him for a spot. Basically, you're looking at Fitzgerald and Osby vs. Acy and Samuels (and maybe Whitey) for the third team spots IMO.

Even though I think Osby is one of the best players in the league, I think it's going to be tough for either of them to win Big 12 awards because so many players will be picked from Kansas, Baylor and Missouri simply because they are NCAA teams.

I think Pledger and Osby have a shot at 2nd or 3rd team, but even though Fitz is improved he won't move up much due to our record in the league.

Fitzgerald made it last year and Osby is much better player this year than Fitzgerald was last year. He is not only top 10 in scoring (for bigs), he is top 10 in rebounding (no. 4), number two in shooting percentage and number 4 in blocked shots. Osby is as important to OU as any other player in the conference is to his team.

Next season he is going to score even more. He is a man and I think he has a chance to really explode next season, especially if OU can get a couple of guys to hit some outside shots.
