Woodard embracing season of high hopes [SoonerSports.com]

On his individual goals for the season:
“For myself, I plan to make the defensive team for the Big 12. I want to turn up my defensive skills for this team

That's. So. Awesome.

On the importance of a great atmosphere by the fans at the LNC:
“The fans helped us win a lot of games last year, especially those like Iowa State and when we beat Kansas. I think the fans played a big part in that. It would be great to see them hopefully out for our non-conference games as well this year. They’ve been supporting us more and more as we win games and it’s great. We really appreciate that.”

Believe me, the players greatly appreciate the OU fans.

Wish I lived in Norman! Love what Lon has done with BB program.

sounds like a guy that expects to play the point ....

I would hope he expects to. Gary didn't say it was permanent. He just pointed out what was happening in practice. I'm not sure why several on here are so bent about it.

I love that his goal is to make the All Defensive team. I hope he does it.

I also love that he said he worked really hard on his shot and that Hill said he worked hard on hist shot (per someone in a different thread).

If Jordan is Defensive All Conference and makes 33% or more of his threes, OU will be almost unbeatable. That converts him from a really solid point guard to a deadly player.

I really hope he achieves his goal because his personal goal is going to go a long way for the team.

Most likely because it came from Gary.

Why? Gary strikes me as one of the most credible participants.
You'll have to ask those who question the info Gary provides from practice. Me personally, I wish he'd go back to giving up his daily reports.

But......

He told me he will when you start doing your recaps again! :D

I like Gary's practice reports. Honestly, I appreciate any and all practice reports. I can sometimes tell more about a player in practice than I can in games.... both strengths and weaknesses.

Gary tells it like it is. He doesn't pull any punches, and I like his frankness.
