Woodard's technical

The refs were complete imbeciles so it was not glaringly unexpected. If the officials had seen that he was baited, which he was, then they would have looked the other way. Either way, I hope that particular crew has already boarded an airplane for another destination w/o a basketball court.

If it wasn't the worst it was a close second! The effin foul called against Spangler towards the end that should have been a frickin charge! They had called much less obvious ones all effin day!

Am I the only one who is freaken sick and tired of these stupid offensive charges that are being called. It was a total joke all day. The one called on Buddy was BS, the little white guard was still moving as Buddy was already in the air!?! They call that a charge and then turn around and call a block on Spangler when he had been stationary and in position for several seconds.

Was that the worst call you've ever seen?

Absolute bullsh!t call. They let the big white kid just keep riding him for 3 seconds after the whistle. Even Bilas acknowledged it was a terrible call.

I agree it was a bad call but JW can't being throwing elbows. Gotta do like Cousins vs UCLA when Alford tried to trip him, just smile and walk away.

It's like in football: It's always the guy who responds who draws the flag or gets the whistle.

As for Cousins, he got in a little shove before Alford tried to trip him. They were both lucky not to get whistled for a foul.

Stupid call. But, these refs were horrible all day long. They kind of kept Butler in the game.

Precisely, for there was no consistency between the two calls.

I believe if you look at the replay, Cousins slapped at the ball that Alford was holding. I didn't see a shove.

You're right, I got that detail wrong, but my point stands. An official still might have looked askance at Cousins' action, had he seen it.

There were several questionable calls in the last few minutes. But you might as well get used to it, 'cause you're going to see more of those guys. They are all Big 12 officials

All the charges and not calling the blocking foul is driving me batty.

Guys, I ref college ball for 25 years, now I know I have been out for sometime but the officiating in this tourny has just been BAD. Yesterday was by far the worst, those guys didn't know a charge from a charge, the call on Woodard was even worst. Let's just hope these guys don't work any more of our games.

I didn't think the officiating was too bad until the end of the game. In the. Final minutes I felt like the officials were not calling things the same way on both ends of the court.

I thought the T was meaningless and worthless, but the worst call of the day was Dewanye Harris laying out the defender in a punt return in the Cowboys game, hope he draws a fine for his act of frustration
You could see the elbow Woodard threw, but that act of committing the original foul went on way too long after the whistle blew
