Words cannot describe Star Wars Day

Meanwhile, the guy who played Chewbacca in Star Wars was sitting front and center next to Castiglione. :ez-laugh:

Doesn't Stoops normally sit next to Castiglione at many of the basketball games? Hmmm

Stoops was at the game, he was sitting in the front row of the stands that connect to where the press sit. He had his two sons with him

The worst part for me was watching Vader sword fight with the Horse Pigs, then start hugging and walk off the court. Who came up with that?

This frustrated me more than our lack our baseline defense....which is saying alot lol

It did seem as if we had a bigger crowd than normal, on tv anyway. Is star wars to thank for this?

6 dollars for a ticket plus a free t-shirt is what drew me and my family of 5 in.

Throw in the Star Wars mess and a Sooner W and it was a great day.

Anyone hear the commentator says Peter Mayhue (Chewbacca's) wife looked like an Ewok??? Funny stuff and the other announcer just went silent. HAHAHAHAA

I had to bump this after today's "Star Wars Day". What a difference 5 seasons makes?

On the original Star Wars day, 1/22/2011, we were 10-9 with 2 straight conference wins over Texas Tech and Colorado (Star Wars Day). With losses to Chaminade and blowout losses to Arizona, Virginia, Arkansas and Kentucky.

Now, 5 seasons later we are undefeated and in the top 5.

:woot:ez-laugh:

I had to add a picture from that glorious day 5 seasons ago.

I remember the original Star Wars Day OU basketball hosted, rather well. I was bartending at Coach's (RIP it/Denco/S&B's on Main Street) and there was a rumor that the night before, Peter Mayhew would be guest of honor at a banquet in our private room. As I had the night off, I made a point to be in the building in a knowingly awful paisley shirt under a black suit. I was gonna hang with Chewbacca!

He never showed. At some point in the night, I (deep in beverages) tore the pants to shreds climbing over a chain-link fence. That was the last year of the Capel regime, so it doubles for my fondest memory of OU basketball that season.
