Moore motivated by offers pouring in

Aaliyah Moore has a long way to go.
She embraces it, trying to improve any way she can over the next three years before she really has to make a choice. The now sought-after recruit, recently offered by Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Kentucky, Texas A& M and Texas Tech, debuted on Moore’s varsity as a 6-foot-2 freshman last season, and even she didn’t expect this kind of recognition to come this fast.
“It’s crazy. You don’t usually get those offers when you’re this young,” Moore said. “I was just like, ‘Wow, I can really be the best if I put my mind to it and work hard. I can do it, get to the college where I want to go, and get the offers I want.’” She’ll have the opportunity to make a large impression this week while playing for the 17-under Cy-Fair Elite team at Nike Nationals in Chicago. But she doesn’t want to think too much about recruiting. There are other things at stake.
When Moore goes to the practice gym she creates imaginary defenders. Her main goal recently has been versatility, taking 3-point jumpers and putting the ball on the deck.
“I want them to have a difficult time guarding me,” Moore said. “If they want to back up off me, I’ll hit a shot in their face. If they want to get up on me, I’ll do a move and get around them. I just want to challenge them every day.”
If she’s successful in developing those facets of her game, her recruitment will continue to grow.

Ou has to improve if they want Moore. Not in her top 5 currently
