I've been out of pocket since Sunday after the game and I wanted to make sure I posted my thoughts on the game. I would hate to be identified as one of those posters who is around only after the defeats.

I thought from coaching to every player, I thought this is one of the best games I have watched in a couple of years from OU.

Sherri -- just coached her fanny off. From starters to rotations, to giving bench players more time... And her quick substitutions on play stoppages with ViVi and Kay-Kay were the best I've ever seen from Sherri.

Additionally, even though two quick silly fouls put Kay-Kay on the bench for most of the first half, I thought she would have stayed there anyway. She started out horribly and then got rolling in the second half when she finally decided she was going to show up.

I was down on Carter the first few games, most of us were -- AND it was justified. However, the last two or three games she has really gotten it together and she's improved her play dramatically and she couldn't be stopped on Sunday.

I was very impressed with Edwards' performance. If she could make that a constant, as Carter has recently, she could really get more playing time. She was very solid against a very tight WVU defense.

I loved the way all the girls played Sunday. There was nothing to criticize or second guess. If they had done that in every game this year, we might have been undefeated today.

I loved the way Treece played when Kay-Kay was crapping out in the first half.

I thought the defense was, perhaps, the best I have ever seen out of an OU squad. Yes, WVU couldn't hit a three for their lives and yes, they aren't that great of a perimeter shooting team...BUT we played a tight 2-3 zone and just were all over the court.

WVU was rated 21. This was a good win. I thought we put it all together for the first time in a long, long, long time.

Carry on, ladies. Enjoyed sitting in the Lloyd Noble very much on Sunday.

How much of Kay Kay and Sharane's second half recoveries were due to the fact that Gioya had become the center of attention with her sixteen first half points?

Once the defense became concerned about Gioya, her passes became more effective. Kay Kay was now open once she got the ball. A couple of folks passed up wide open threes when Gioya got them the ball.

If you are a threat to hit a jumper from the free throw line on a consistent basis, you tend to gather a lot of attention. Gioya is fast enough to get there, and she is also fast enough to blow past them if they overcommit. If Gioya sees what she did right and does it again, we can win a lot of games. It will also stop a lot of fouling and turnovers because we won't be forcing the ball inside. Get to that point, and take whatever they give us.
