I cannot stand mulkey… but she can coach, she can recruit.

In the 2nd half the announcers talked about her fr guard and how mulkey expected her to play… they made the assertion that you do what mulkey says.. if ya want to play.

I just get the “feeling” that Jenny is much more “likable” by the players vs mulkey. If that makes sense. Nothing wrong but results speak for themselves.

I bet some LSU fans are saying there should have been more fouls called on OU....LSU just the better team, move on get better
 
There is so much talk after in these pressers about what we did wrong but I see very little being done to fix things. Again, us having zero depth is biting Us in the rear exactly as I suspected it would... We've been fortunate we've had no injuries until now, and Cullitin is the one player you want injured, if anyone, because she contributes diddly, but still...We have two options in the post now... Just an epic failure on the staff in off season recruiting...

I think this season might as well be over. I don't see this team coming back and playing at the level we thought they could have. I'm happy if I'm wrong, but I don't see the toughness that some of the players that left last season had, which made up for other areas they lacked in...
 
Chavez playing against her possible future team next season.

OU is so bad against teams with a pulse.
 
In the long scheme of things, could OU have spent the million or so on two 4 stars instead of putting the entire bundle on Chavez? If she leaves after this year with Beers and Payton graduating we could a take a huge step back next season.
 
We don't have good enough athletes and shooters to compete for the top half of the SEC. And that's most of the remaining schedule.

I def could see her leaving… BUT … she also wants to be the #1 player… Jenny gives that to her.

She goes to South Carolina/lsu those coaches won’t play that crap.

TT… maybe.

The question is, will another stud come in with her here…?…

She’s really good…on skills, to a point. She’s also a fr…She def is a wild card. She def plays a bit sped up but Jenny lets her. I said before kind of reminds me of Kruger /TY deal.

I don’t think her shooting form is great but I’ve also seen her do some cool things (a few passes) that the other players are ready for.

Disagree. Cool things against nobody teams and flexing like they are. They got what they wanted though.

Let’s not act like every top 25 teams didn’t want Chavez. Maybe other coaches would be coaching her differently, but every team wanted her. Outside of a few coaches most would probably be letting her do the same stuff. Jazzy Davidson (#1 ESPN player) at USC has almost identical number to Chavez in shot attempts, ppg, and shooting percentage.

Jazzy Davidson doesn’t have a Reagan Beers. Top 25 teams wanted our entire roster, except Tolan and Cissoko. Doesn’t mean a lot. Look at the way others coach. They are disciplined, and wouldn’t let this happen. LSU maybe and they pulled her offer.
 
That's why it would have been nice to have had a veteran point guard to fill in when she was struggling or just to take over to allow her to be a shooting guard, but the failure of this staff to secure any debth from the portal is massive and in my opinion cost us what could have been a good season. It's really sad to see other good teams that we have beaten as recently as last season such as Vanderbilt and Michigan play and see how much better they've gotten in just one season and then see our team. We lost some experience, true, but I didn't think it would be this noticeable and I'm assuming neither did the coaching staff. IMO, Aubrey Galvan from Vanderbilt is a better point guard than Chavez is right now. I hope Chavez does not get frustrated and sticks it out and comes back and shows her improvement as a sophomore. I guarantee you she will be better next year... Hopefully she's got more talent surrounding her then.

Hopefully all this complaining will be for nothing and this time next month we look much improved..
 
It’s not for lack of talent around her. It’s because she is trying to be the show. Galvan is better because Galvan is a real PG. Chavez is demanding to be a pg and she’s not one. A point guard runs the offense, sets up teammates, and scores when open. She’s not a team player, so take her off ball and run an offense to get her a shot. A PG can also guard a PG.

The “cool” things are nice passes that her teammates are not ready for or expecting.

I think she’s selfish and all about her.

I also think Jenny lets her get away with it… just love kruger did with TY. I was wrong about TY and the pro career he’s had. I’ll admit that.

That’s just because they’re not expecting a pass from her. Hahaha
Jennie can help her be great, or lose fans and players. Up to her. Season can still be a success.
