#14 OU vs West Virginia 6pm 1/19

OU (Sherri) won the last 4 games we played in Morgantown although 2 were a 1 point and a 2 point win. OU is 7-4 the last 5 years over Mike Carey's 'neers with 1 loss coming in the conference tourney.

If Sherri could have that kind of success at WVU Jennie should as well. OU by 12+. JMHO.

12 is a nice number, but I wouldn't be suprirsed if it's more.

We are on fire right now. I can't see WVU being able to do much to stop us.

Can't decide if the above is a well-deserved compliment of Coach Jennie, or just the latest in a long line of Sooner fans' continual bashing of our former coach (with an emphasis on "former").

I'm hesitant to write WVU off. Remember, they have a wealth of talent and height on their roster and were expected to be much better than they have been. What's been the problem? Are they just not clicking yet? Have they been crippled with injuries & COVID, much like everyone else? While I really hope we win both games this week, I believe both will be very competitive. I actually would be pleasantly surprised if we beat K-State later this week. With their height and young talent on the perimeter, they will give us plenty of problems. Fingers crossed we pull both out!

Washington is out and so is Lampkin, built a big first half lead but when Vann and Scott had to sit with two fouls they caught up, our interior defense without either of them is porous, WVa by two. Stop me if you've heard this, officiating slanted towards home team. Shocking. We have our usual dose of turnovers, including at end of first half we have ball with 25 sec left and can't get off a shot. Inbounds play to gregory with 0.5 sec left, makes basket but too late.

Our excellent shooting leads us to a win. Madi 23, Taylor 22 with 5 3s, 15 for Skylar. 22 assists on 28 made baskets..really running Jennie’s offense well. Taylor’s 5 made 3s give her 400 for her career.

It's a good thing there was snow on the ground in Morgantown. We could just scoop some up for our bumps and bruises on the way home!

Gabby scored her first points of the season!

Seriously Proud, I thought I was the only one that noticed that the game was insanely physical. A bloodbath.

I thought the officials called the game about how all officials call these games with the teams that play "mug" ball. Both in the boys and girls games. Some coaches just teach a physical type of play, where every player on every play grab, arm bar, use their body to prevent movement, come over the back, move and affirmatively impact players on screens, and just hope that ultimately the refs have to just let it go to let the game be played. See it all the time. Just my opinion, but this isn't basketball and not how it was intended to be played.

From my view, the game was just called like all of those games are called. So, no beef by me related to the officiating. I have long since given up on basketball being played correctly and with freedom of movement unless the defender can get set directly in front of the offensive player.

Kids did a good job of just playing through the fight that broke out.

Seriously, is there a better player in the country than Madi? I haven't seen one. And, is there a better shooter than TR? No, and there is no reasoned debate on this issue. You think otherwise you are just wrong. Kid is unreal.
And finally, what has come over Tot. She has been money lately.

BtW, I thought West Virginia looked pretty good. They are going to beat some people.
