#15 OU vs #6 Iowa St 6pm 2/19

No question Robertson has been off in her shot especially BTA for most of the conference season but I take that to be mostly attributable to the opponents defensive efforts. TRob has played more minutes in virtually every game this season than any of her teammates. Against ISU she again got the most minute with 5 more minutes than Madi and 6 more than Tot. TRob has not played 159 more minutes for the season than Madi by accident although Madi's foul trouble is a contributor.

TRob has also made every effort to contribute by other means although limited both defensively and offensively by foot speed, quickness and fundamentals. Statistically she has significantly improved on every statistic recorded for a player except for a couple and her rebounds are way up compared to 2021 and last night against ISU she lead the team in rebounds with 7.

If you look her season statistics compared to 2021 she is playing 3.5 fewer minutes but her points scored has increased from 16.1 to 17.2, rebounds (3.0/g to 4.5/g), assists (27 to 84), steals (21 to 27), blocks (6 to 10) while improving her FG% (.475 to.487), 3 pt% (.430 to .452), Pfs down (57 to 35). But you have to factor in pace of play as it provides more opportunities.

Statistically only her FT% is down in 2022 (.982 to .941) and TOs up (36 to 43) YTD.

This team has overachieved all year and finally hit a rut but the only bad loss was to Tech.

Need a win at TCU on Wednesday to right the ship.

absolutely, TCU is a MUST win game. I believe all four of our remaining games must be won, in order to make up for those 3 losses in a row, especially Tech. Although I did say at the beginning of the year when I watched TT play that they had potential, as their coach hit that transfer portal hard, bringing in some height. I truly hope coach JB doesn't settle for the two 6'3" freshmen she has coming in and pursues a transfer player with some height. I believe if we win some more games and end up winning one or two NCAA tourney games we would have a better shot of landing those highly pursued transfer players. Fingers crossed we figure ourselves out of that slump fast, or KSU this weekend will be a nightmare again.
