#16 OU vs #2 South Carolina 6:30pm 1/22

BOOMER SOONER BABY!!!! What an unreal game. Every single person contributed. So proud of them for responding, growing, and improving together after a rough 2 weeks.

Also shout out to Jennie for her epic postgame speech picked up by the ESPN camera: “WERE F***ING BACK!!!!”

Once again, we didn't guard tthe free throw line well. At one point, I worried that the officials had swallowed their whistles and EMSA would have to do CPR. But this time, we overcame our homecourt advantage (we shot 7 for 10 free throws, SC shot 17 for 23) by hitting 30 or 81 field goals to their 30 of 81.

Seriously, the offense was beautiful tonight. This team is a work in progress and they took a big step forward tonight.

Great win! How in the world did we get 54 rebounds to their 39? I think we owe it all to Jalen Williams being there. He was our good luck charm.

Great team effort. Went the firsst three minutes without taking a 3 point shot. Worked to get the ball to Beers and did the best job of the season moving the ball and moving without the ball.

Terrific job by Stewart and Lofton off the bench throughout the game especially in the second quarter when we had to play without beers and Verhulst in the lineup.

Our defensive intensity kept Carolina on their heels much of the game. Super job on the boards by Sahara and Beers against taller players. Chavez incredible in the overtime. I had no clue that we would do that well.

We appeared to be trying to use clock in the final minutes of regulation and lost our offense and let them get back in the game.

The defense wasthe best I have seen in the Baranczyk era. Hopefully this is just a step in improving our game. It was Sooner Magic tonight.

What was everyone watching? South Carolina never felt like they were going to win big or for sure in my opinion. At least not like the replies here are suggesting. A game to witness in person and I’m one who said I wasn’t going back. Happy I did.

She's getting more aggressive, especially in the half-court. She's probably finally adjusting to a ball-dominant PG, and figuring out how to pick her spots.
She wasn’t on ball most the game which opened her up and she played superb team ball.
