Yeah, what 18 year old even knows who Blake Griffin is? TTU & Nebraska were probably in the elite 8 in the past 5 seasons and had the #1 pick in the NBA draft too.
Great points aggy. Thanks for validating what we already knew about aggy IQ and objectivity.
Any 18 year old can clearly see that hillbilly ford is elite. He has 1 NCAA tournament win. Well, any 18 year old with an aggy IQ can see that.
I'm pretty sure I said....
"I wouldn't say a recruit holds OU in much higher regard than TTU or Nebraska right now unless they are like a huge Blake Griffin fan."
One really good player went thru OU but that doesn't really change the "program".
That's like saying Marcus Smart is going to change the OSU program...once he is gone Ford is going to have to re-load with new guys and continue winning.
I don't think saying OU is a notch better than Nebraska and Texas Tech right now on the recruiting trail is that much of a stretch.
I wouldn't say OSU is anymore than a notch better than them either. I would call OU and OSU second tier bball schools behind the big bball programs like duke, UK, UF, Ohio state, UCLA, Indiana, KU etc.
Neb and TTU are like third tier.
And as far as recruits think...they aren't going to care whether Texas Tech had went to elite 8 5 years ago or whether OU did...It's a big public well-known school in the Big 12. They are going to probably look at how they relate to the coach, other players, and the college town more so than the history of program in that situation
