2015-16 Season: Big 12 Teams Personnel

How? I'm not doubting your sources, I just don't see the attraction.

Elijah thomas and admon glider are reportedly a package deal with Evans. They could always change their mind.

It's mind boggling that any 4-5 star recruit would commit to Travvy at the current time. Do they want their game to regress like Smart?

Package deals always seem strange to me unless they commit close together, or else it seems like the first person picked his choice and pressures the other one to commit there.

I agree. Lot of experts are guessing osu as well.

I used to be worried when other teams get 5stars but Ford cancels them out

At some point, he is going to collect enough of the right type of talent, that even he can't mess it up. I find it crazy he can still get that kind of talent to Stillwater, but he keeps doing it.

Amazing how truly uninformed/misled these kids are when it comes to such an important decision about their future. Color me confounded...

Uninformed enough to, as a PG, choose to attend a program that in the most recent draft had a PG selected as a lottery pick?

Defending tford, now that's a lost art!

Butch "candy" Pierre is working his magic!

Nobody in their right mind would contribute anything that got that kid drafted high to the coaching he received in college.

Thomas is far from a sure thing and isn't scheduled to announce until November. I'm not sure when Gilder announces.

Smart's play didn't regress. His attitude did. As talented as Marcus was, I'm not sure he was the most coachable kid. If I'm a guard, I'd look at a guy like Markel Brown as my example.

Ford's set plays are good. I like his traps and his presses. The half court offense needs to be fixed. Maybe James Dickey can help with that.

It's definitely a win-win situation for OSU fans. If Smart washes out in the NBA, you can make a valid point that his college coaching had nothing to do with him being a bust. After all, if he can't develop under under Brad Stevens then it wouldn't matter where he went to school. Conversely, if he turns out to be an NBA star, he becomes a phenominal recruiting tool for OSU. It won't matter that he didn't develop and improve his game at the college level. All that would matter is that he was an NBA star who went to OSU.

It looks like Ford might be realizing that he needs bigs to win in this league. He's brought in Solomon and Allen in the last class and he is after several bigs in this class. He has a great shot at Thomas. He's already landed Ibaka. And He's managed to make the top 5 of Shine.

And I would almost bet that they push to get Cobbins a 6th year.

Its obvious that Ford has shown that he can't get it done with 4 or 5 guard lineups. Losing Cobbins might have been the eye opening that he needed. OSU looked awesome with Murphy and Cobbins in the lineup. They took a nose dive after Cobbins went out.

He's had 2 solid PGs in his tenure at OSU. Eaton and Smart. Eaton had Muonelo playing the 5 a lot and Moses as well. And Smart left with Murphy and Nash in the post. Give those guys some some solid post players and Ford might actually look like a good coach.

It's "Candyman", due to Pierre's likeness to the character in the movie "Candyman". If you have any real evidence that recruiting infractions have occurred, identify them, merely alluding to such is petty.

So take 15 mins of your day and tell us ALL what makes 5 star recruits "want" to be at OSU. Likeness to a movie character as well as the real reasons. Ask around the coaching circle, if you know anyone, and ask about his nickname.

Petty if it wasnt an actual and suggested occurrence.

You've got to be kidding me if you actually believe that all these recruiting violations are rampantly occurring at OSU and not one person has acted upon them and reported them. Hell, if you're so aware of these "actual" occurrences, why haven't documented and reported them? I would think you'd be tickled to report such, knowing what you know, of course.

There is a lot of "grey area" in Basketball recruiting. EVERY school. EVERY single one of them has a coach that is there to play that part of the game. Until the AAU circuit changes it will stay that way.

As long as OSU has Ford there isn't much of a reason to really worry about OSU's recruiting. In fact it's probably good if he keeps getting top talent and giving them hope Because his coaching will continue to make them play well below talent level.

So, nothing? I'd like to learn of the recruiting violations of which you're aware. Or...are you making up the infractions to support your "why would he ever want to go to OSU" mantra.
