2017 Class

So we have 5 seniors not including Maddie. Are they all on scholarship? If so, we can sign 5 in this class. Who are the 5 we have coming in next year?

We have three. You really don't want five in a class. Ana Llanusa is about as good as anyone in the highschool ranks. Shaina Pellington is a guard out of Canada that Sherri says may be quicker than DRob, Canadian Junior National Team. Mandy Simpson is a power forward from Boise, an offensive rebounding force.

You have two left. You might take a JC player if one of talent exists, or maybe a transfer. But, you don't play more than about eight as it is. Why keep so many on the bench? 2018-2021 appear to be better years for talent than this year or the last. You lose five seniors again next year. Keep them available.

Recruiting is a numbers game, hoping to hit some that can play. With our talent level needing some athletic basketball player upgrades why have two empty slots?

I though Nancy looked ok against Baylor. Chelsea is the kind of athlete we need, but must work on her shooting. Hope Maddie comes back. Ortiz plays hard.

Nice to see Shanaya score a few points. Peyton didn't have a very good game. ViVi seemed a bit intimidated. Derrica plays hard when she's on the court. It was fitting that Goya fouled out again. This group of seniors just never seemed to improve.

Baylor is big and physical. U Conn will beat them because they are big and athletic.

Coach Mulkey is classless. She knew it was senior night and that Sherri would play the seniors. She seemed to keep Wallace and Prince on the floor most of the game. Baylor starters played over half the game while our 5 seniors played half the game on average.

Our seniors, except Peyton, played as much as they did because we were getting our asses handed to us by 35 points.

Much like ISU, Sherri recruits mostly one dimensional 3point shooters...OU needs more athleticism in the backcourt, Dungee and Llanusa are a step in the right direction, but it definitely needs to continue with this 2018 class... OU still needs a player with size at the 4 position and a Athletic floor general.

I agree, times last night that baylor bigs looked quicker than our smaller players.
Kinda like a very good 6a school playing a okay 3a school...
