I don't get it. What about the modern basketball game makes you want a 7'1" project?
You are much better off with a skilled, undersized guy.
so, it's been past the signing date for a long time and a 7'1 guy is still available? That doesn't sound promising on the surface....
what's the back-story?
When Kruger got here, he recruited a ton of guards (5 in his first two classes), and surrounded his three guard starting lineup with a stretch 4 and a shotblocker whose only role on offense was to screen and finish alley oops.
That strategy was insanely successful. Why have we moved away from it?
What do you think this big does?
He's nowhere near the athlete Lattin is. Not going to be able to switch onto anything, is not going to be rim-running from the 3 point line after setting a screen.
Everyone hated lattin on this board.
Jumped too much, never could finish, muni was always better.
Good redshirt guy. Worth the risk.
Lattin was fine in the role he played on the final four team. When he and Kruger decided he needed a more involved role in the offense the next two years is when things got bad.
So you’re saying you didn’t want him to try and get better and help the team?
As players get older they tend to do that....
Not all kids are in a hurry.
Prep school. Maybe was waiting to make sure he qualifies
Thompson will also be in tomorrow. Wilson has people around him who have already
contacted OU since the Michigan coach took the NBA job.
