I’ve been wondering about recruiting for the late signing period, too. Also, I wonder how Garang and Issanza are developing..... which could dictate what position is the greatest need to recruit.

I would think no. Everyone playing is getting their fair share of the minutes. Those not playing surely know why. Transferring won't improve their minutes. Development will.
Merritt?
Doolittle will be gone, there will be minutes available if he gets better. We have no one coming in that will take those minutes. So it will be Manek/Kuath/Victor/Merritt/Issanza. If he works hard to get better he can play here next year.

That’d be the one that wouldn’t surprise me, doesn’t seem like he can compete in the Big12.

Iwuakor will be a future star on this team. He is going to be a stud!
His last game reminds me of Cousins as a freshman. Plenty of people let that taint their opinion of Isaiah deep into his junior season. Victor looks like he has a ton of potential, like Isaiah did.

This is a good take IMO. I remember long stretches in his freshman year where you almost knew that every time Cousins checked in, something bad would happen, even if he only played a couple minutes. Turnovers, missed shots, etc. But Lon knew how important he was to our future and kept running him out there so he could learn and develop. Obviously you try to win every game as a coach, but you also can't forget the big picture. Vic has already shown his talent. Some of the same people acting like he is a lost cause now were practically begging for him to move past Kur in the rotation a few weeks ago. The only way a talented, inexperienced kid like Vic gets better is to play. He'll continue to get spot minutes, and play longer stretches on the nights he is contributing.

Nah.
I think Victor will be good. He’s raw but very athletic. He’s a Doolittle clone physically. Not as good offensively but more active. He’s kind of a “tweener” size wise. More of a 4... not a 5. His problem this season is OU doesn’t want Doolittle off the floor except for short rests.
I expect a lot from him next season.

Man.... I hope. Again, he might be athletic but the limited time I’ve seen him on the court he looks really out of sync. Just not a smooth player.... dribbling, ball handling, passing....
I need to go look at his HS stuff.
Just my 2 cents...
You are basing this off, like, 15 games? Not bashing at all, but you might give a freshman more time to improve from high school.

They can be really selective, I think they are going in for Jaylen Clark (top 70 SF) then maybe a transfer if that doesn’t work.
