2025-26 Season

According to Lusk in that interview, Jones hasn't even been practicing. He views Dayton and JN as the clear sixth and seventh men, and the rest of the bench roles somewhat up for grabs. He gushes about Atak's shooting and overall offense, but used the traffic cone analogy in discussing his defense. Said Moser even experimented with zone over the summer to see if that would be a way to hide him defensively and keep him on the court more. With Rogers, offense is the question, but they are high on his defense. Said Blair could play a bit but Holst will likely redshirt.

Lusk seems to know the sport. I like him better in this interview than I do online. If he can get over his tendency to overhype some of our guys, he would help his credibility.

I feel bad for Jones. I understood why he didn’t want to jump in mid season for his last year of ball. Credit to him for sticking around…..and he’s out again. I highly doubt he ever plays meaningful minutes for OU. Even if he comes back soon. Any indication what happened?

I'm not sure how it hurts the sport that a guy who started at a JUCO, had a heart attack, missed two seasons, and had another season affected by the COVID year, is allowed to play another year.
Bc he’s 25 and will be 26life isn’t fair.

How long before we give these things to hs kids?

No they still haven’t said, I think someone referred to it as a lower body injury back when he missed the Texas Tech scrimmage but nothing specific and I’ve not heard anything else since other than some of the media continuing to claim they don’t think it’s anything serious.

Snake bitten I guess. And of course there’s no transparency from the university.

lol. What meds do you take?? None of my business just like his privacy

Why do they owe you transparency?

OU has a REPUTATION for being overly secret about injuries. It started with Bob Stoops and has likely spread to other sports. The reputation is so bad that when WR Lewis ran into a brick wall a few weeks back, the announcers said something like this about an hour later. I'm paraphrasing, but you get the point. "We're trying to find out any information we can get on Keontrez Lewis to pass along, but the University of Oklahoma is not noted for being transparent when it comes to injuries". I'm trying to remember if I ever heard announcers say this about any other university.
