GAME 2 - OKLAHOMA (1-0) @ #21 GONZAGA (1-0) (Spokane) 9:30pm CST on ESPN2

I think a lot of the frustration is the fact that it’s year five for Moser. This is the year it’s supposed to come together. He got the tournament monkey of his back last year and has the most talented team of his career this year.
I don't disagree. I'm just saying to give it more than 2 games. This COULD still be a pretty good OU team, regardless of what happened against Gonzaga. But it certainly showed us where our holes are and what we need to improve on.

If he misses the tourney, it's definitely time to move on. This is the most talented group he's had, and we undoubtedly stepped up our NIL game in a major way.

But it's funny when anybody that defended our 40 point loss to Baylor panics because we lost by 15 early in the season to one of the greatest coaches this sport has seen.

Deep breath.

so I was explained part of schedule issue with home games from a member of athletic department. It’s a catch 22. They do not have the money to pay some teams to come to Norman as attendance for these games are low and don’t make enough revenue to cover paying teams. The 150-250 group has become a bidding war for higher level teams causing those prices to go up. They choose somebody the lower teams as cheaper and feel not as much difference in 280 and 340 in ratings.

Is that 100% the reason, probably not. But it’s what was shared to me.
Maybe a potential answer for this is a 2 for 1 where the team in the 150-250 range at least gets a home game out of it. I believe that would be a nice incentive for a mid-major to get a home game with a decently good P-5 team. I'm thinking teams like Tulsa, Wichita State, Missouri State, UTA, etc.

Actually, that is exactly how John Calipari built a name for himself at UMass. He offered 1-for-2 games back in the early 1990s...and Billy Tubbs bit. I lived in upstate NY at the time, so I went to the home game for UMass (which was actually played in nearby Springfield). It was before they got Marcus Camby, but still kicked our butts. OU then had two home games against UMass (which we split). It really is a great idea for schools who are competitive and want to take their program up a notch.

Agree 100%. We also did that with Loyola-Marymount in the 89, 90 and 91 seasons. Brent Price had 56 in the last game (we had 172).
We were in the opposite position when Billy got things rolling, which is why neither Syracuse nor Kentucky came to Norman.

agree with you on the deep breath and team being more athletic than any we've ever had, but...

Yeah, we stepped up our NIL game in a major way, but so did everyone else. Evidently, we are still 14th or 15th in the SEC in NIL funding. Better talent, but still going to have to play hard, play very well, be well coached, and punch above our weight to win games against top 25 and most SEC opponents.

I think some people were under the impression that NIL funding was better, and the roster was more talented, that all of a sudden, we would be a top 25 team.

But that is forgetting that those top 25 teams stepped up their game, too. And forgetting how good and well-coached Gonzaga has historically been in the regular season.

I can't really speak to NIL overall with other teams, but the caliber of player we were getting made a significant leap, so I'd hope for an improved team.

Do we actually know the NIL? Something posted earlier in this thread had us above UNC for NIL, which simply can't be true.
