Funny how the prognosticators said BYU would need to make many 3 pointers but it is Alabama taking and making them.

OU has three wins over the "Sweet 16 field" as of now. Of course, I'm talking about Arizona, Michigan and Arkansas.

I don't care a lot about the Florida-Maryland game, but I have a hard time rooting for a school that once employed Mark Turgeon (Maryland).

what's the ncaa sweet 16 record for most points scored? Bama has 97 points at the under 8 minutes timeout..

I don't know about Sweet 16 but UNLV scored 131 in an Elite 8 game vs Loyola Maramount
I think our most points scored was like '89 with 124 points. But it was a 2nd round game. Don't remember the opponent.

Most in a Sweet 16 game was 108 against Louisville on the FF run in 88

Seems most of the scoring records for a team in March Madness involves LMU.

LMU probably holds the record for most points in a tournament game against Michigan when they made the 22 3s that Alabama broke tonight. They scored 149 that night. Next game they beat Bama 62-60 game.

Florida is so fluid, so crisp on offense... It's a thing of beauty. Everything I wish our 4 and 5 out offense was.
And Bama taking 51 threes … I appreciate teams and coaches who believe in a system and are fully bought in. At the college level, teams can still find an edge since the analytics haven’t taken over quite to the extent they have in the NBA.

108 by OU vs Louisville is the most points I've found in the 80s and 90s. Haven't looked since 2000 yet though. I didn't go before the tournament went to 64 in 1985 either.

Arizona is playing with Duke early. But BYU was looking good the first 15 minutes or so too.
