2025 NCAA Tournament Sweet 16

That was bad defense! Just go zone. Heck even the awful porter moser got the best coach in America to throw it over the top to midcourt 15x
My thoughts exactly. NEVER do you let a team win it inside. If they hit a 3 to beat you so be it. Watching the guy in the corner never leave his man to help inside makes you want to tear your eyes out.....

What a wild tournament this year... Holy moly.

1v2, 1v2, 1v3, 1v2... So much parity!

Yep. A lot of chalk this year, very few upsets in the entire tourney. And what, like 2-4 total buzzer/near buzzer beaters? Not much madness this year.

And we should probably get used to it. With NIL and no penalty transfers, this is what we get.
People thought last year was gonna be the norm where it was crazy because of NIL too. We don't really know if this will be the new norm or just a year where it was top heavy.

Porter did that with 2.2 secs left?
Joke went over the head. But the way they defended that was absolutely atrocious

Great play. But 99/100 the helpers isn’t chasing the corner for a long 3 and leave the paint wild open.

The reason it is likely going to gravitate toward less upsets is because when a guy from a mid-major has a good year, he will be entering the portal in hopes of a big payday. From a commonsense standpoint, that will reduce the number of upsets since the better-than-average players will be constantly transferring up a level. Without looking it up, I'm guessing it has been a long time since there was only 1-16 that was seeded lower than #6, and 0-8 seeded lower than #3.

Yep. You’re not going to have the mid major, senior laden, super experienced Cinderella stories anymore. Because those guys will transfer to a bigger school by junior year

Yep, didn't take long for the "bigger" schools to figure out how to let the smaller schools evaluate players and develop them for a year or two and then pay them to come make an impact for 1-2 years.

I tend to chalk that up to stupidity by Purdue. Would anyone here be tipping their cap to Houston if Porter left the inbounds guy completely uncovered and available for a quick dunk?
Watch or read any of the breakdowns of the play. Purdue has defended inbounds that way the entire season and not a single team took advantage of it that way. And Los wasn’t even the primary option on the play. It was designed to take advantage of how much attention they would give Cryer, and to get the ball to Tugler on a dive to to basket. Because one of the defenders recovered quickly, Tugler adjusted on the fly and made the pass to Los. It was a great play with several options.

I’m not saying it wasn’t a good play by Houston. I am saying it was a worse play by Purdue. No way any of us are happy with Porter if he did that. It would be far worse than many of the plays with pages of complaints.
