Really appreciate this type of information. Loved Lon for being so open with practices. Man, was he a fine gentleman. Didn't like his theory on how to play with some things but loved the way he treated the players and assistants.

Hopefully, Tyler will continue giving us tidbits of info on the players during the off season. Really interested to hear his thoughts on what we will get from Rogers, Holst and Jones.

If nothing else, at some point the law of averages may kick in for us on a redshirt and/or international recruit.

Rogers will have to play some. We can’t go an entire season with Wague as our only true post player.

Oh I agree he will play, I don't think he will redshirt. I just have no idea if play means five or ten unproductive minutes where he will get abused by SEC bigs, or if he will actually be a positive for us.

He can be serviceable for 10-15 mins per game.

I think the jury is out. Sam was a multi-year starter with a ton of experience and was arguably the worst big in the conference for most of the season. I don't think it's a given that Kai comes in as a frosh and is more productive, even though he is more talented. I still need to see him play high level competition to determine whether he is athletic enough to do well against SEC bigs.

Wichita -- thanks for asking Tyler my questions. Estimates on Rogers play this year are properly measured. But, he has a few months before the season starts and you never know. I saw Jones play in an internal team scrimmage last year, but that was it. So, very small sample size. It will be interesting to see what the board thinks of him once they get to see him play a little.

It sounds like he is planning to start putting out more basketball content, which would be great. He agreed when I told him that the lack of coverage by the beat writers is frustrating, so I’d love to see him fill that void. He knows his stuff, and is much more realistic than Lusk.
