2026 Bracketology

7 would likely be a disappointing year imo and I would hope that pm can move on elsewhere and we get paid some of the buyout (or waive it to get rid of him)
Clown post of the day. Congratulations. Boomer

We will get a better gauge of where we are from Saturday's game against Nebraska. It's early, but they are 15 spots ahead of us in Kenpom. Don't know much about them though.

From 1979 through 2016, the longest we'd gone without being a 5-seed or higher in the NCAA Tournament is four seasons. We've done that three times (80-83, 96-99, 10-13). The current streak now sits at nine seasons.....with no end in sight. It's amazing how far the program has been allowed to fall.

Another historical pm feat

Freddy winning % .551. Pm .549.

Light years better!

Freddy .438 at Nebraska
Porter .561 at Ou
Nebraska is a tougher job than OU. Hes doing unprecedented things there and building. Well, I guess you can say that pm is doing unprecedented things at ou too... its just that they're all negative

He is light years better than pm

Don’t forget to give Porter credit for winning at a .348 clip in conference play as OU’s coach. Is it good if a coach’s winning percentage is equivalent to a decent 3-pt shooting percentage?

It was only 8 months ago that @IndySooner was trying to tell everyone that pm was going to go to Villanova 🤣🤣🤣 and that we were not possibly going to find another human being to be the HC at ou. I still laugh at that thread sometimes

pm is going to have to pull a rabbit out of his hat bc we look terrible so far

I don't think this is true at all
What?? They have never been consistently good. They have never won an NCAA tourney game. They have nothing going for them other than the fact their fans are awesome and show up to watch them play any sport even when they are bad. I doubt you could find any coach in the country who would think Nebraska isn't a much tougher place to win than OU.

Conference strength ebbs and flows, and the Big 10 is plenty tough. Fan support is the only factor that favors them. We have no idea what Nebraska basketball NIL is. OU just brought in four top 100 transfers and reports are we have a $5M roster. People have been gushing about our talent and depth. At some point, we have to stop using money as an excuse. You wouldn't be able to get four top 100 guys with a small budget. We aren't near the top of the SEC, but it is wild speculation to say Nebraska has more money.

No way Nebraska is the better job than OU.

You're cray imo. They have ZERO tradition and their moneymaking historic program (football) is permanently on life support.. you think they're funding bball??
again they average 14k a game in mens basketball in an arena with suites club and loge seating .. (tons more revenue then OU generates)

their coach makes more money then OU's coach ..

they make more tv money then OU does (the Big 10 makes the most)
