2025 NCAA Tourney Bracketology

Tough to see these other teams hanging tough with these battle tested SEC rosters.

Hopefully I am doing that right.

Xavier extremely poor defensively. Texas getting pretty much anything they want on the offensive end. You see these lower conference teams struggling around the rim against better size and athleticism on back to back nights.

edit; this was supposed to be part of the UNM/NMSU nm 80/abe set of posts but I didn't do the multi quote right.

I lived in southern New Mexico in the late 2000 teens and I kinda adopted NMSU as my hoops team in the deep southwest since they were successful and Cruces was pretty nearby. They were very good, winning 30 games.....taking a Bruce Pearl Auburn eventual final 4 team into the final seconds in the first round.

NMSU lost head coaches for success (one to UNM!) and then Chris Jans left to Miss St.

After all the dirty stuff/shooting and.....spending a few working months in El Paso I transferred my local loyalties to UTEP (not with a lot of hopes but hey*). I vastly prefer NM to Texas but I kinda like how unique El Paso is as an American city.

All these posts are an after thought to the food in the area..... to the green Chile and rellenos i am remembering/imagining right now :0.

* and my granddad from Perry Oklahoma was friends with Don Haskins

Random thought but I was watching St. John’s a few times this year and zuby ejiofor is a beast for them. Ou went after him in hs and then he portaled last season from Kansas. If our NIL was better we might have had him as starting 5. What a difference he could have made.

Xavier back in this game with 6:45 left. 71-67 texas

Great game, starting to get a wonderful feeling about the madness!

Great game....the good news is Texas lost. The bad news is that Texas will go out and hire a much better coach than Rodney Terry. And the better news.....I won some money on Xavier,
We can always hope they blow it. They bungled a lot of football hires before they finally hit on Sark. But at least it looks like they are trying to upgrade rather than settling for mediocrity.

Rodney Terry with a hands off approach as his team steadily blew a big lead. But he made the tourney, so they must keep him, right? lol

I get your point, but I'm pretty sure Texas has much deeper pockets than OU and spent a lot more money on their roster than OU did. At the end of the day, the NIL budget is going to be a factor when it comes to retaining head coaches or not. Of course, so is the buyout amount. I've been in the "indifferent" category when it comes to Coach Moser. I'm not looking for him to be fired, but perfectly fine with him finding another job and moving on without OU having to pay any "alimony".

I would but couldn’t find many articles about him leading Wake into the tournament as a one seed. I’m sure you can find those, though.
Slightly misleading. If you take Alondes off that team, they don’t sniff the tournament. If you take Los off this team, they are still easily a 2-5…. Context is everything
