GAME 29 - OKLAHOMA (17-11) @ MISSISSIPPI (19-9) 1:00pm CST on ESPN2

It's interesting you say that about Sam when the announcers in the last few games seemed to gush over him, how tough he is, sets great screens, nose for the ball in rebounding, etc...although it could've been the same announcer (color commentator) in those games.

Wague's minutes (15) jumped against A&M and he had some hustle plays, with 3 pts, 2 rebs, 2 stls and 3 fouls. It seems like he flashed (but also peaked) in the UGA game, with 10/3/3 and 3 fouls, and many said they didn't know he had that in him (hadn't seen it yet) and we needed to see more of him. However, he fouled out in 17 minutes the next game against UT with 3/7/0, had 4/3/1 and 3 fouls against USC, and 2/0/2 and 4 fouls against Arky. While his defense seems to be better than Sam, he gets in foul trouble easily, still looks lost on offense much of the time, and they don't use him on screens, handoffs, etc. nearly as much as Sam when he is in. I can only assume that the offense runs better with Sam in, and PM is willing to take that tradeoff...although that's giving PM a lot of credit considering some of his coaching blunders lately.
Wague is the only player on the Team that is a net + in conf play ...

i didn't get to see this game...but it sounds like it was winnable.
that makes 6 winnable games that we lost.
i'm confident a better coach would have won at a minimum 4 of those.....and maybe 5.....with the roster we have....as bad as godwin/wague/northweather are.
debating whether wague gets a few more minutes here or there is an exercise in futility.
but i'm still no fan of +/- stats.

Same. I think +/- are worthless

Talking heads say popular things and don't do actual research themselves.. just like they say pm is a good coach citing his final 4 from like 10 years ago..

Godwin actually gets called for tons of moving screens also almost all of his O boards he just ends up missing a shot or turning it over immediately thereafter.
