It's interesting you say that about Sam when the announcers in the last few games seemed to gush over him, how tough he is, sets great screens, nose for the ball in rebounding, etc...although it could've been the same announcer (color commentator) in those games.
Wague's minutes (15) jumped against A&M and he had some hustle plays, with 3 pts, 2 rebs, 2 stls and 3 fouls. It seems like he flashed (
but also peaked) in the UGA game, with 10/3/3 and 3 fouls, and many said they didn't know he had that in him (hadn't seen it yet) and we needed to see more of him. However, he fouled out in 17 minutes the next game against UT with 3/7/0, had 4/3/1 and 3 fouls against USC, and 2/0/2 and 4 fouls against Arky. While his defense seems to be better than Sam, he gets in foul trouble easily, still looks lost on offense much of the time, and they don't use him on screens, handoffs, etc. nearly as much as Sam when he is in. I can only assume that the offense runs better with Sam in, and PM is willing to take that tradeoff...although that's giving PM a lot of credit considering some of his coaching blunders lately.
