2026 Bracketology

We are down to 83 in Torvik. Let that sink in. Our defense is 164. 83 is a bit of an outlier since we are hanging around the 50s in most the other metrics, but Torvik is one of the rankings that matters. And in all the rankings, it’s brutal to see how much our defense drags us down.

Last night’s MMM special cost us 13 spots in the NET. Down to 61. But no worries since we have such a strong noncon resume to bolster our case.

Might as crash this thread. Unless someone sees a miracle in the future.

I mean, we kind of have to beat Florida tonight, don't we? Otherwise idk how the morale will be and moving towards another tourney appearance will be pretty tough. I really thought with these 4 transfers that we wouldn't be having this convo this season, but we are still here. I have to say this one's on PM, if we end up not making it this season. Griped and moaned about not landing the talent he wants, then he did, and still hasn't made them look like a decent team...so far anyway.

I think tonight might be the biggest must win of Moser’s career. I think the domino affect of a loss tonight would be too hard to stop

Not saying this could even happen, but does anyone know or have an idea of what it would take to get us back in the tournament picture? Would we even be in if we won out?

Going back in time two years and hiring a competent coach.

The answer is simple: win the conference tournament. So about the same odds of me flying to Italy and winning luge gold.

2007-2008 Georgia Sec tourney winners with a 13–16, 4–12 record, just to torture you

No chance. This team isn’t even out of the woods of getting a winning record. Still need four more wins for that!!!!

Edit: if this was even the 15th win, I’d say there would still be hope. They would have seven games to win five. Doable. But, I think .500 is the most probably outcome. Should still be enough to get him fired

Was that the there was a tornado during the tourney? Probably not, seems like maybe that happened more recently.
Yes. That was the week a tornado hit the Georgia Dome during the SEC tournament. They moved the semifinals and finals to Georgia Tech's arena and only allowed family/cheerleaders/bands to attend the games.

Georgia won 3 games in 30 hours, including two in one day.

OKC Thunder assistant (and OU coaching candidate?) Dave Bliss played on that Georgia team.
