2026 Recruiting Class and Commitments (LeeLee Bell commits)

Soonercuda, hearing anything on the tall girl from France. Wondering if she will contribute this year. And, who is your guess to be the 5th starter with Peyton, Sahara, Beers and Chavez?

I don't have any inside sources so I haven't heard anything on Cissoko...the internet searches for her come up quite empty. Last year in early October we had a media day so hopefully that will happen again and we can get some information on her and how the rest of the team are developing...very difficult right now as the OU media is very focused on football.

My guess is Zya Vann will be the 5th starter just because she was good off the bench last year and would be the most experienced in Jennie's offensive and defensive systems. That leaves Sahara playing PF...and she is strong but short to play defense vs the better Power Forwards in the SEC...so even if she doesn't start I think we need Brooklyn Stewart ready to play 20 minutes a game for the extra defensive length.

Just for fun here is a rough guess at how we will split the 200 minutes of play during a game (this is a guess vs better SEC type teams...no garbage time)

Verhulst 30
Chavez 30
Beers 25
Williams 25
Vann 20
Stewart 20
Lofton 20
Culliton 15
Smith 15

I’ve been thinking this about Vann as well. If Lofton can pick up as second point then Vann can be the 2. Regardless of starting, I think she’d be the 2 whenever we need our best 5 on the floor.

getting a couple '26 players inside of the ESPN top 100 would be great. Texas Tech already has 2 top 100s committed, which was a bit shocking to me, but if they have some of the NIL money that their softball team has, then maybe not?

3 seniors to replace and I wager at least 1 transfer. Hope we don't lose any of our young contributors next offseason. If we can keep them and build on the momentum of landing Chavez, etc. moving forward this program is going to have a bright future!

I haven’t seen anything about the visit yet…I do follow Coach Love and on a couple of posts I recognized the restaurant or lobby of the Noun Hotel by campus. So I am sure that is where Murray is staying for the OV. Hopefully we will hear some good news over the next week.
