All cynicism aside (and I'm good at cynicism): what if he does choose OU over OSU? That would be pretty cool.

As much as we criticize the program (sometimes rightfully), we're in a better place than the Aggies. If we decide we want to pay him, all bets are off.

I don't think he has attacked the kid personally. Just that he is dragging OU along. Hey, if Moser is dumb enough to not see the known outcome, why should he not get a bunch of free stuff?

You don’t see the difference between me commenting on the state of our program and a high school coach bashing a high school player for going through the recruiting process because he is butt hurt that his dad went to OSU decades ago?

I think it’s fine to keep recruiting. Never know what can happen. He’s a cheap official. Not much money spent on him. He drives to norman

Porter had Montanati and Foster walking around in the crowd with him at gameday yesterday. (Montanati is a lot smaller than I thought he was)

Also had Derrion Reid and Jeff Nwankwo on hand with Humphrey & another coach in the crowd for gameday. Saw Tae Davis walking around the North Oval too, with a camera man.

Porter walked right in front of me with the recruits, I said “what’s up coach!” and he dapped me up and stopped to talk with me and my lady for a sec. Really cool guy, didn’t have to do that at all but he did!

His recruiting is not only about Montanti, It’s about other high level Oklahoma kids. If we do not recruit or go through some of the process with Oklahoma kids who are acting interested, that word will get around to other Oklahoma kids.

Yeah, it's pretty crazy for people to argue that we shouldn't even attempt to recruit a top 50 player who is an in-state kid. If we were pouring our entire budget into recruiting a kid who is unlikely to choose OU, that could be fairly criticized, but I have heard nothing to suggest that is the case.

I see nothing wrong with bringing him in for a visit; at least that gives you a puncher’s chance. As long as you’re not putting all your eggs in that basket, let’s give him a try.
