Here are 2 games Sina played for the Austrian Women's National team...she scored 15 vs Norway and 23 vs Great Britain

Thank you. Watched both games. Can't believe she wasn't a starter against Great Britain. Appears to have a pretty good basketball IQ finishes pretty well around the hoop and has a nice 3 point shot. Biggest question I have is about her quickness.

Sina’s team in Austria won their league championship and Sina was the MVP. Below is a link to her stats this year…she played for her pro team in 2 competitions (her Austrian league and a regional competition) and for the Austrian National Team in the Eurobasket Qualifiers. In 29 total games she averaged 17 points and made 83 3 point shots…her 3 point % was 30%…so hopefully she can continue to work on her shot. My guess is the competition level vs players generally 5 years older than her is a lot higher than high school but lower than P4 college teams.

Sina looks pretty good on video. Looks athletic enough to defend, but kinda hard to tell for sure, as you don't know the level of talent she is playing against. Like her ball handling skill and toughness though, and with the loss of Vann, we certainly need another guard that can handle the ball. She looks like she might be able to do that. Also, I like the form on her perimeter shot and she looks like a good shooter, but maybe not, if she only hits 30% from the 3. All in all, I see why Jennie took a flyer on her though. Something about tough kids, they tend to do whatever it takes to be good more often than not. Sina strikes me as a tough kid on video. Real gamer.

This YouTube podcast video came up in my feed...Sina is interviewed (about 45 minutes in) for it...note the video is in German so you need to put on CC and auto translate into English if you want to watch it yourself. But there was some interesting information on her recruitment during the interview:

- she went to 2 camps in Europe last year that had a lot of American coaches scouting players...one camp was for European prospects and the other was Global prospects.
- from that scouting, scouting her at Austrian National team events and whatever club scouting schools did she came to the US last summer and did official visits to 8 schools...OU, Cal, UCLA, Ok State, Vanderbilt, Michigan, Kentucky and Utah. The reporting at the time said her decision came down to OU or Michigan. So her choices were from a group of high level P4 schools which indicates to me if she was in an American high school she definitely would have been a top 75 player if not even higher.
- She said it is the people you are really focused on...chemistry with the coaches and the players at the schools. She said everyone would go over film and discuss how they would see her fitting in with the team and each school's system.
- Defensively at her club team she guards 1-5 with her being a tall guard and that she enjoys guarding taller players
- Playing in the next couple of weeks for the Austrian National 3x3 team in a couple of tournaments

I remember reading that she had several good P4 offers, so I won't be surprised if she's one of those sleepers that emerges as a standout freshman, kind of like Vanderbilt's girl last year was. Hoping for it, anyway!
