For any of you that have seen Parks play, what is your opinion of her? Her stats at Kansas weren't much but she was just a freshman. Any good comparisons?

I guess I jumped the gun on Speiser. I thought she committed, and I guess we just got a visit. She sure sounds like a good one though.

She is similar size and athlete to Lofton…a little thinner and not quite as physical. Parks has a good 3 point shot and in high school was an excellent defender…good at pressing and steals. Not sure what happened in mid January but didn’t play last half of the year. Need her to work hard over the summer to develop…she will get better coaching at OU than KU

I know that Parks had a season ending knee injury in high school and she only played 16 games her freshman year at Kansas due to a lower leg injury so she really didn't have a chance to prove her self. Former five star player though so there's tons of potential, I'm hoping

I also read somewhere that we have pursued Tilda trigger, a 6'6 center from NC State so it sounds like we are actively targeting centers, it just remains to be seen if we actually Land one or even better two

Has anyone heard anything more about Center targets? Are we close on anything?

I have no idea why Vann left. But, the Vann girls don't strike me as the types that would run from competition. Tough minded kids it would appear to me from the outside looking in. Maybe she didn't get along with Jennie, or wanted to play point, didn't like Chavez or another player, or was mad we didn't recruit her little sister. Only the Vann family would know for sure.

If we don't lose any other players to the portal, I like the look of this team. Particularly if we can land a couple players at certain positions out of the portal.

If Parks can reliably shoot the 3 and handle the ball under pressure, then she can help the team/cause.

I don't know why Zya left, either. Was just wondering out loud if she may have known that Parks was coming and that the guard "room" at OU was getting a little crowded. And I agree that it's unlikely the Vann girls are afraid of competition. But it wouldn't necessarily be fear that induces a player like Zya to decide it was time for a change of scenery.

Mia Woolfolk - Georgia 6’3
Audi Crooks - Iowa State 6’2 or 6’3
Tilda Trygger - NC State 6’6
Pania Davis - FSU 6’6

Thats all I know of at least, there could be more but Im not 100% sure who they would be.

From what I was told, she left to seek better development and an opportunity to be primary PG, as to gain experience to go pro. It was a very hard decision and there is no bad blood with the players.

Huh? Holler isn’t here yet, and has not proven anything. Vann is very underestimated. She played out of position this year.

I'm guessing Chavez would not have come (or stayed) at OU if Jennie tried that...which is why Zya left.
