#23 OU vs TCU 1:30pm 1/15

11on the court in warm up. I see Gregory, Svodova, and Perkins but no Kelbie this afternoon. Lampkin in a ankle boot on the bench in sweats.

100-71 final. Balanced game for us led by Madi at 21, Skylar 20 and 16 for both Tot and Scott. Blew them out in a game where Taylor only scored 6 on an off shooting afternoon for her. Solid defense and we held TCU to 38% shooting and forced 20 turnovers.

Nice effort for Kaley Perkins who got minutes in Kelbie’s absence and scored 9 on 3-3 from BTA. Gabby got minutes again but clearly doesn’t have her sharpness yet. She needs practice time to get her game shape back.

Way to go girls.....So proud of you on the last two games....Baylor and TCU!! You are so FUN to watch...Keep it up !!! :clap:clap

First time I've seen Perkins get that much run, I was encouraged, her future is bright. Then looking at her roster info she shot 40ish % from bta in high school.
And tot really stepped up when we needed her, with no washington today. I don't know how you could watch the post game pressor and not think what a great hire
Jenny is.

Tot has been playing great.....I see no drop off when she's in the game.
And Perkins has a chance to be another prolific 3 ball shooter.
Future looks bright, just wish the seniors had a few more years:eek:.

Another Win. Another Team effort. They are fun to watch.
We need to start having bigger crowds for home games, but us old folks worried about exposure enjoy the wide spacing now.
Whatever on attendance, but still enjoying this team and promise of the future under this coach.

My thought is that Kelbie is fast and a great floor general. Tot gives us a steadying force. Tot is amazing when she drives. There is no drop off for either one, just a different feel for us. When they are both in at the same time we are very small, but we get the best of both worlds.

Perkins is going to be good as well she can shoot the 3, and her defense is getting good. What I think she needs most is just body strength which she will develop hopefully.

I've watched other teams and most seem to rely on one or two really good players. While we rely on Madi and Taylor alot, we have don't have to because we have 5 other players who can hit from wherever. We are a pretty complete team.

No one knows what the future holds but so far I like:

The apparent condition of the players. We are strong late in the game.

The way most of the players find the open player for an wide open shot. Especially under the basket. Van seems always gets to the hoop free.

The way the team continues to perform when backups are on the floor. I have been amazed at how the frosh, especially Perkins have performed after being little used most of the season.

The apparent improvement of almost everybody, especially Tucker, Washington, Scott and Tot. Didn't mention Van because her emergence coincided with our strong finish last year. But I think she has improved.

The apparent confidence in the players. The story about Ana very revealing.

Yes, we are still giving up too many easy baskets and making too many turnovers. But that just gives us room for improvement.

Gabby looked better but still far from what she showed last year. I expect more from her in the next few games. Hopefully she can get back to form before the end of the season.

By the way Stanford had to come from behind to beat Utah by 10 points today.
