Vs. the top 25 RPI. Most in the country. That was ugly, but a great win.

Time for Woodard and Lattim to have a big game. If those guys can start playing like they are capable, we will be fine.

I know what everyone means about it being ugly, but it was ugly both ways. texas led most of the way, but rarely by more than four or five, and the stats are very even. Both teams shot .400 on the night, but we shot better from the line and from deep. They had four more rebounds than we did, we had one more assist and one more turnover.

All in all, couldn't have been much more even across the board. If texas had won, it would have been an ugly win for them, too (except it was on the road -- they'd have deserved credit for that, obviously).

True, but Texas plays ugly.
We score 15 more PPG than that usually.

The first half offense was just so bad. And Buddy wasn't hitting shots he's usually automatic on. And Woodard is clearly slumping.

By the way, when I first saw the subject line of this thread, I thought it was going to be about us winning our fifth straight over texas, which we did tonight.

That's pretty sweet.

Fair point. But we were playing a hot team and a heated rival at that.

It certainly was an ugly first half, I'll give you that. But the second half was just gritty, hardfought basketball, in my opinion. We scored 41 and won the half by 12. I'll take that every time.

The bad: We have a few players struggling right now. Playing terrible D to start games.

The good: Played with high intensity in second half and beat a very hot team last night. Even if it was ugly it was a big win.
