Most projections have us as a 10 seed right now.

If we were to lose to TCU, with their terrible RPI, and ISU, I think we would fall more than one spot. Right now, ISU is one of the last one or two teams in on most brackets, and they are only one conference win behind us. I haven't seen anybody say that if we lose these last two we are for sure out, just that it puts us squarely on the bubble. And if you are on the bubble and there are a couple of upsets in the conference tournaments, you COULD find yourself on the outside looking in.

P.S. - Your link doesn't work.

WT, I tried the link and it worked. Try copying and pasting it into your web browser. Most of the the bracket projections on that board have us in the 8-9 range. I believe we are no worse than a 9 today. Losing to TCU is a moot point (because I just don't see us losing), but if we somehow managed to do that, I still believe we are ok. You can't focus on one or two games....regardless of whether they are wins or losses. Our "body of work" is more than worthy this season....especially when compared to so called bubble teams like ISU, St. Mary's, Cal, Temple, La Salle, Tennessee and Virginia.

I agree, it's highly likely we'll be in even if we lose to TCU. I have said all along that the top five teams in the Big 12 will get an invite to the dance.

But if our resume includes a loss to TCU, which would be a lot worse than losing to UT, and then we get bounced in the first round of the conference tournament, all of a sudden our "body of work" doesn't look nearly as good. That's what worries me.

Do I believe we'll lose to TCU? Of course not. All I'm saying, and I believe that's where WT is coming from as well, is that we're not a lock until we beat TCU on Saturday. Win that game and no matter what happens in the Big 12 tourney, and we're in. At least, that's how I see it.
