Believe we are significantly better than we are playing, just one of those games where almost no one playing well. We are better than this.Anyone watching the first half can’t say we are in the same league as Texas, LSU, or South Carolina. Missed a ton of layups. Hope we are pa different team in the second half.
I watched with the TV muted. The last time I listened to a Texas A&M game, the announcers sounded like they worked for a 500 watt radio station in the middle of nowhere.Are these clowns announcing the game junior high kids? I can’t remember hearing this bad in years!
How is Joni Taylor a P4 coach??? She’s done nothing. Was the same at Georgia. And aTm thought they were stealing her from Georgia! Geez!
They said Chavez was a game time decision. She wasn"t feeling well.They’re not a bad team and our girls beat them easily on a bad day. Chavez looked pale to me and was coughing a lot. Curious if a few are not feeling well? They went to the line way more than we did. Beers does need to watch those fouls. She got away with some, but I’m sure they’re all over her. I could barely watch the game with the audio like it was. Terrible. Lofton looking more like herself confidence wise. I think the offense will follow soon. These freshman don’t get a season to figure it out unfortunately. Love her defense. Vann forced a few shots I thought were not great decisions. She seems to really locked in some games and not caring as much others. Might just be me and I’m a big Vann fan! Overall, I think it was just a rough start besides Chavez.
At times, it reminded me of the games we used to play against Texas A&M. Mugging allowed for the Aggies. Sooners weren't allowed to breathe on them.Ugly game but to give A&M due credit their defense had something to do with the ugliness. They kept us out of sync most of the game. Good thing we were good on defense.
As often we came out shooting and missing a lot of treys and we didn't settle down offensively as we most often do. We took and missed a lot of hard shots and we took and missed a lot of easy shots. And a ton of layups. Didn't get to Beers muc in the first half.
Solid effort by Smith and Stewart and another solid performance on defense by Lofton who has yet to discover her offense.
Thought the officiating was dreadful. A lot of fouls not called and a lot called that we questionable. Maybe a little bit of homerism as well. We couldn't breath on them in the 4th quarter without a foul called. Hopefully we are better the next game.
